Need Help choosing between Lennox, York and Rheem bids

After obtaining quotes from six different companies, we've narrowed it down to Lennox, Rheem and York. Can you offer opinions as to which system you think offers the best "Bang for the Buck?" This is for a 2,800 sq. ft. two story home in the Seattle, WA area. TIA

All bids include some additional duct work to add a return air to the second story.

Bid 1: Lennox G71MPP3L(or6)C090 Furnace

Honeywell IAQ Thermostat

Lennox AC XC13036

Price before rebates and sales tax: $10,601

Bid 2: York "Cube" TG9S100C16MP11 Furnace

Honeywell T-stat (no specific model provided)

Cased coil FC603CXN1, TXV kit and lineset

THGD48S41S1 Heat Pump

Price before rebates and sales tax: $8,835

Also offered the following upgraded equipment:

Affinity Multi-speed Furnace YP9M100C16MP11 for $750 additional

Affinity Variable-speed for $1450 additional

YZB04811 Heat Pump $800 additional

YZE04811 Heat Pump $1335 additional

Bid 3: Rheem RGGD-09EZCMS Furnace

RPQL-036JAZ Heat Pump w/Case Coil RCFLH3621A

Price before rebates and sales tax:$9,400

The twist to the above are:

I think the Lennox price seems high, and it is the only bid that is AC instead of a HP. The rep was very definite that the HP was a "waste of money in our climate" and if we are "going to spend the premium to install a 95% AFUE furnace, it should be the primary, not secondary source of heat." With all rebates (Fed, utility and Costco) the price comes down to $7,750 before tax.

The York bids will qualify for the $1,500 Fed tax and a utility rebate of $350, but no manufacture rebates (long story) for a price of $6,985 for the Cube combination and $10,405 for the Affinity Variable-speed furnace with the YZB Heat Pump.

The Rheem bid has the best over-all price but, while it does qualify for local unility rebates, bringing the cost down to $8,700 it does not appear to qualify for the Federal Tax rebate.

Looking this all over, which system to you recommend (or not) and why?

Thanks and regards.
