My friend has one! Her's is 19" and look like a computer monitor!

I have one in the kitchen; mounted on a swivel mount and I LOVE it. It's a 16". Perfect! Never had a tv in the kitchen until 9/11....now, that is the tv I watch the most!

Yes, we have 2 19", both swivel mounted in the bedrooms.

We have a 22" Samsung in the kitchen. Love the picture, hate the sound. You have to turn it all the way up to hear anything. It replaced a 19" Panasonic with built in DVD player, should have gotten another one of those.

We got a 19" for Christmas but haven't set it up, need to get the cable run. I'm not willing to part with any counter space for it, no wall space either, so we'll put it in the dining room so I can see and listen from the kitchen. It's nice to have the TV for company when cooking--keep up on the news, etc. I think 19" was about the smallest we could find.

Yep, got a 19" flat screen from WalMart to replace the one I had that got fried by a power surge. Not crazy about the sound but the picture is fine. It's a Sanyo.

As I recall, they didn't have too many to pick from. What struck me as funny, though, was that I could carry it with one hand, they're so light compared to old TVs.

I have a small one in the kitchen again now. Never got around to setting up the converter box so ever since the digital conversion I was without but bought a little TV on clearance and tried it. I like a TV in the kitchen. But one thing to remember is the wide screens are not giving the comparable viewing area of the old 4x3 models. There's often black lines and depending on the format of the program it'll shrink more. A 32" is probably comparable to a 25-27" older unit. Most things I watch are not panorama - they have people and vertical things in it so the 16x9 has an impact. However, the good thing about the little one I have, the speakers are on the front and they give pretty good sound. Decent volume when you're working on something, rattling pans and making noises. I'll probably get a larger TV sometime but not until the prices drop. Or if I get one on clearance. But for now, this works.

BTW, mine just sits on top of the microwave so it's out of the way and doesn't need to be wall mounted. One unique feature, the remote has a magnet in it so I can keep it on the frig - doesn't get misplaced like the other one! I like that. Had thought about Velcro but don't need it with this one.

I have a 22" in the kitchen as well and love it other than it is too close to the stove and the screen can get splattered. I would love a magnetic remote, that is genius!

i have a 26 in flat screen with a built dvd player its in the living room i live in a small apartment with a open livingroom & kitchen i attached a small mirror over my sink and can watch tv while doing dishes its also a computer monitor forget the name

If you want a magnet on your remote (brilliant idea!), go to Pizza Hut, where you can pick up free frig. magnets and glue one on the remote.

I have a 22" Vizio on a swivel mount with a shelf for the cable box. It's tucked away nicely in a corner so it's not right 'in your face', but it's easy to see. I got it for a very good price at Sam's Club. Love it.

I got a small one at BJs its nice about18" like it.For my kitchen

I have one in my kitchen, Sharp of course, and it hangs from under one of the cabinets. Have to measure it for the size.

Can't do without it. It's hooked up so that it gets the cable from another TV so there's no cable cord running into it. Instead there's a wireless setup that I bought on the net. I hate being in the kitchen so this makes it bearable.

Zeetera, could you tell me more about your kitchen cable set-up? I'd love to get rid of some of those pesky wires.

Returned a Vizio to Costco and bought a Samsung 22" for our breakfast room. Awful sound on the Vizio; better everything on the Samsung.

Have a Toshiba 19" w/built-in DVD for the BR at the Maui condo. OK sound.

Cynic is right. You need to realize that the pictures on thin-screens have more width than height -- not as 'full' a picture as the tube sets, but the pictures are extremely *sharp*. Ours are LCD's -- not LED's or Plasma's.

Chisue, I was wary about buying the Vizio because I heard they can have sound problems, but we have a 32" and the 22" and they both are fine. We lucked out, I guess.

Don't have a tv in our kitchen or the bedroom for that matter. I'm really old school on having a TV in the kitchen. This is funny because I grew up having a TV in the kitchen. For some reason, I hated it. But I do have a Vizio in the living room. It works for for us.

Looks like mine is a 12" square one. Judiec, see the link for the one that I have now. It's not the best and I had a better one before that was made by Sharper Image (I think). But it serves the purpose.

We have a 24" Samsung LCD, wall-mounted. We were having the kitchen re-done, so I had the electrician wire the wall for cable and electric. I love having it. I mostly use it when I'm doing a long cook-ahead session or baking. I've always liked watching a movie on a Saturday afternoon while cooking.

we still have my white analog tv...talk about cable! dh has a 25 ft cable so he can take it outside in the summer! lol...

Two years ago, we bought a 21 inch Sharp for the kitchen. It was on sale at Office Depot. That one has been a good buy and has a good picture. With the proper cable, it can be connected to a lap top or PC. I've used it this way to display am automated Power Point presenatation at a show.

At present, we are watching broadcast TV (over the air) with it.

jemdandy, what kind of antenna do you have to get over the air broadcasts? Since the switch to digital tv, so many people have had big problems. I have a portable digital tv, and I can't get anything at all.

A couple people on the GardenWeb 'Entertainment' forum explained that the newest small flat screens are so thin that there's little room for speakers. OK if you have a speaker system in place and can hook up to it. Our 40" Sony flat screen sounds great because it's wired into our sound surround setup -- or whatever the *modern* name is for that. (They lost me somewhere back aound 'hi-fi'. LOL)
