Taco Circ p/p with 3 zone valves

I am having a problem where my basement digital thermostat is readin 73 degrees and it was set for 67 , I think that my problem is a stuck open position for this zone v/v.I tried to disconnect one wire from the zone v/v ,but it seems that the wires are needed to run the boiler.Right now I have turned down the heat at the 2 upper floors and lowered the one in the basement to the lowest setting. I had this happen 1 time before and it is reoccuring. I have a Weil McLaine boiler with 1 Taco p/p and 3 valves. My question is do I need to drain the boiler or the zone loop to replace this v/v and If not is it easy enough without causing another problem . Thanks
