Right now it is hovering around freezing, but for the coming weekend it is predicted to get in the teens and not rise above freezing all day for 2 or 3 days. We have already had more below freezing temps than we had the entire winter season last year. I do not do "cold" too well.

Cold here all weekend.

And we are having a warm spell in California. 79 today. Wait a few days and it may well travel your way.

Well send that 79 degrees right on over to Georgia Sheila!!

Going to be that way for a week.

We are in frost bite conditions.

And wouldn't you know it, the speed control resistor for the heater fan motor in my Jeep burned out. At least, I still have one speed - full blast.

Currently -12°F heading toward a high of 8°. Would like to have gone out for breakfast today since I have the day off but perhaps it'd be wiser to stay home and enjoy the creature comforts.

It's 7:10am..and 19*!!! I am so dreading seeing my heating bills after this!:(

It's suppose to get colder..with a pretty good chance of snow Thursday! My weather email said something about it being a "historical event"!! Hmmmm

Here in central Indiana it is 10 above and the high is to be around 20. We may get some snow showers today and tomorrow and snow on Thursday. The forcast for the next several days is about the same.

NE Texas this morning is pretty chilly too. Weather.com says it's 31° but feels like 22°...I'll take their word for it. I'm not poking my nose out there! We're supposed to warm up to 40° today but I hear colder icky weather is coming our way later this week. Ugh. I don't know how people up north can stand all the snowy cold weather. I'm sure not used to the cold.....my hands are freezing!

-11 now. Forecast is for below zero nights and highs in the single digits all week. The greenhouse starts in 6 weeks. It's not like I'm counting the days or anything.

BRRRR in central Ilinois we have -5 right now. So I have 3 dogs 4 cats in the house I have 1 14 yr old cat laying on my bed daring the 3 whining dogs at the door to step 1 foot through it. LOL Plus hubby is at home too cold to work. Man I hope he finds some place to go something to do.

It's 22 at your house? It was only 19 at our house. So much for the "south" being a warm place. I think Ohio followed us down here and found us. LOL

Tooo darned cold! It was 30 this morning--I know, I know it probably sounds warm to some of you but believe me, after a summer of 90 degree days you feel the cold big time.

No relief in sight. In fact it's supposed to get down to 19 tomorrow night. I wonder if that will be a record? On the up side, there's no humidity!

We've got -15° out there this morning and the cold water to the kitchen sink is frozen.

I should have known that would happen and turned on the faucet just a little before I went to bed last night.

currently it's 21 in detroit. and the oddball lake effect snow is at 60% chance..i say odd cause we usually only get lake effect on the west-side of the state.

it's like mi is getting effects from a nor-easter...

looks like most of us are shivering together.

Had enough of the white stuff and being frozen. Now waiting on spring but I've forgot what that is I think. lol

It was warmer in Maine then it was here this morning...It was 37 about the time it was 22 here...now that just ain't fittin I tell ya...

We're having a balmy 32 right now...I just opened the closet where I stow all the upstairs Christmas Trees and BRRR...it was major cold in there...so much for insulation...but it does work to keep it warm outside the closet when the door is closed...I also hung a sleeping bag over the closet door on the inside...that really keeps it warm outside of that closet!

Still a few below zero. Will have to get busy to reach the high before the sun goes down but it is bright and sunny so maybe it will make it. Had to mail some bills and decided to go to the mailbox rather than trust the postman here. Figured while I was out I'd try out a new burger place. Definitely was cold out there. And lots of ice.

Holly Springs, NC (about 20 min. south of Raleigh). We have been waking up in the high teens and the high only gets to around 35 degrees. It's also very breezy and that's what bothers me the most! I can deal with cold weather but I hate wind in any season! Windy days make my head feel 'chaotic'... I'd love some snow. If it's going to be this cold, bring on the white stuff at least!

i'm in Orlando and it's 50 today, 30 tonight. it will be like this for another 7 days. record lows we're having and for a never before recorded length of time. just checked the Homestead FL weather, they will go down to 32 tomorrow night, very rarely does that happen once every 50 yrs and this yr is the 2nd in a row! Homestead is home to the single largest growing area of plants & produce in this country.

the bright spot? all the dead plants everyone will have to replace :-) not to mention all the growers down south who closed last summer/fall. plant prices are predicted to nearly double for this spring...few have inventory and those of us w/ it are going to finally make some $$ after all the cheap guys went under. now if we can just gt done w/ this weather! ~liz

I am freezing my arse off in Iowa. My friend next door said it hasn't been this cold since about 1980. I have been staying indoors most of the time. Yesterday I did go to church and lunch after and to a basketball game last night. I don't worry much about the heating bill, I am on a budget plan and pay the same amount each month. I am saving on gasoline by not going out much.

It's freezing in Chicago and I love it! I've been walking a lot and it really warms me up. I feel so good when I get home. I'm a cold weather gal.

Hey liz,linda, anyone else who lives down south.....it may be cold, but at least we don't have to shovel out our driveways! I'll take this anyday.
We're Ohio transplants, from east of Lake Erie. We got dumped on every winter, with drifts so high there was no where to put any more snow.
