Do any of you remember who this might be?

I was thinking about the KTer who had I think teens in the neighborhood who harassed her and her kids all the time.

She was wanting to put up something over her sliding glass doors that would keep them from breaking in.

For some reason it seemed something was said about a section of cyclone dog kenel being bolted over it.

I think she was the same one who couldn't go out on her front porch without them shooting bb guns at her.

Am I dreaming or does anyone else remember. And who she was. Does she still come here and if so how did she get away from that.

I do remember the situation but not the name of the person.

The post was a bit controversial because she was not very forthcoming about why she and her kids were targeted.

If I remember correctly she wanted advice but was rather unwilling to take it.

I remember reading it, but don't remember who it was. But it seems it was posted in the Home Disaster forum.

I think that's a picture from an old auction is why we can't find the listing now. I figured out how to post a picture in my post so all can see what exactly Im looking for. *crossing my fingers*......Debbie

Any idea who this ruffle edged pink might be?

You're right hoovb, my photos do look pinker, but the form looks closer to Polka than Compassion. (It's a new camera so maybe I need to double check the color.) On HMF, it looks like Compassion has scrolling petals; my mystery rose has somewhat serrated or ruffled edges. (Not quite sure what to call them.) So I don't think it is Compassion. But thanks for the intro to Compassion. What a lovely rose! With fragrance and dark glossy leaves too. Tough decision ahead...

do you remember who did that gorgeous white kitchen in CO?

mpagmom, I love alliern's kitchen in Colorado with the lighting on the top cabinets for looks. I also was surprised that I liked the slab inset drawers since I always thought I want a door with a 5-panel look since my builder grade drawers are slabs. But with the white and the inset and the beautiful BM Simply White with no glaze (showing me maybe white doors samples I bring home only look so white since there is no hardware on them), and the overall pretty look, the kitchen comes together beautiful. I also love segbrown's finished kitchen with the recessed drawers and that beautiful island. Thanks for sharing the links.

Amy, I'm late reading this post, but wanted to mention the "Trio" program for which many colleges (including 2 year/community) write grants. The programs include Upward Bound, Gear Up, and Focus. Upward Bound often has a branch specifically for Veterans, as well. The program's offices may be housed on campus. I have taught high school Upward Bound students for eight summers at our small town's college and have become acquainted with employees from all three programs both there and through contact at my regular school. If you'll Google nearby colleges and Trio Program (and maybe Upward Bound, which usually hires more employees than the other two), you may find counseling, teaching, and advisory positions that interest you. FWIW, I have complete faith in you! Long time reader/lurker/rare poster, Carol

Was it this Mia person? I seem to remember this story from a couple of years back, and the writer getting somewhat testy at people who were trying to post helpful comments...see what you think, Patti.

No...that's not her. There was much more going on that noisey neighbors. I would have nailed all my doors and windows shut had I been the one I'm thinking about.

I think this was longer than three or four years ago.

I'm just wondering what ever happened to her.

Is this the one? It is not like I remember it so I think I am overlapping two different but similar situations in my mind.

Wild Child...you amaze me...Yes this is the one.
How did you find it...I knew it was awhile ago but didn't realize it was 7 years ago.

Now that I've read it again...I don't remember her posting again..but I might be wrong about that. I have a terrible memory.

LOL..I didn't even remember it was "ME" that suggested the dog kennel thing.

I wonder what she did and where she is today.

Or if she is posting under another name.

Patti it was Jeane gallo who remembered the Home Disasters Forum. I just went and looked at the last pages to see if they were old enough and was surprised they went back so far. It used to be a busy forum.

Time sure flies when we get older. I thought it was just a couple of years ago too.
