No, but once a few winters back I noticed my arms seemed drier than usual, so I got my loofa thingy out of the shower and scrubbed really hard under the kitchen sink in hot water and soap, both arms. My arms were beet red all day, but the next day they were as silk and smooth as a baby's behind! So now I get in the shower just to do that. Real HARD, and I make sure I don't have to go anywhere. I don't know about dry brushing, I'd probably scar myself up! lol

I like this thread. One can't just constantly think (or well I can, unfortunately, but I really want to think of something else for a change) of life and death. I remember being at a baby shower. Last year. One older lady, a friend of the mother in law of my acquiantance who invited me, she was on the bigger side..probably in her late sixties, i wouldn't know? She was very boldly dressed, with tight sleeveess top, and some huge flower in her hair, and..I don't know, she behaved like a beautiful woman who doesn't give a damn she's not 20 or 30 anymore, so I looked at her with sort of fascnation, I never thought "I'd tone it down if I were you"-I thought "how cool is it, to be so full of life" (great I'm at life thing again. lol). she didn't look like she was trying too hard to be young. She just looked natural. It takes a certain person to pull it off I suppose. Another thing that comes to mind. Several years ago I went to do my volunteering then to the gym that was in the same building, then to the big outdoor pool. And I was tired and exausted by that time, I started feeling not well. So at some point I just put myself down o one of these chaise longs. And everything was spinning a bit, I was waiting until I get better and can leave. And there were several men in the pool..they kinda were looking at me, because it was a day time, and not a lot to look at:) At other time, I might become very conscious. But then, I really didn't care. I remember because a thought then crossed my mind "There's certain bliss in this state, of feeling out of it, being in other dimension, not caring at all" I realize I described two really different types of not caring..:) I prefer first of course But there is strange freedom in both I do care, well, most of the time. Depending on a day, on a mood, etc. And it's changing so fast-or maybe time goes faster now too. One needs to be really fast in adjusting himself to things. It's not very easy. Then I remember I was so sensitive about my stretch marks when I was 23-and it's funny to me now. Took me a year, they faded, and I didn't care anymore. How many years will take me know? I don't know. My friends would answer me" doesn't matter how many years. dear-all of them years are yours".

bbstx, thank you so much for sharing your friend's Iceland photos! Beautiful pics that absolutely make me want to go there right this very minute! This suit from Lands End arrived and as it's been awhile since I've had a brand new suit on my body, I forgot how you have to pull and tug to get a 1-piece up and into proper place. Once done, though, it's actually quite cute on and fits nicely. I love how it covers just enough so as to be modest, but doesn't look matronly. That said, I'm just not sure it's worth the $75 I paid for it (on sale). I've also ordered this one (it hasn't arrived yet) -- the "tugless" suit, and while it doesn't have the same level of detail as the $75 suit, it's a good $40 cheaper. I chose the option for the shelf bra. If it fits, I'll just return the other. Anyway, so far I'm pleased with the quality and fit of Lands End.

DH and I went to Kauai for 9 days the past end of May/start of June. Loved, loved it. We split the trip between Princeville on N. Shore and Poipu on South. Stayed in condo rentals. We both brought rash guards. For snorkeling I wore a one piece under the rash guard and water shorts. I found Kauai to be marvelously casual for dress. We lived in shorts/tees. Dinner was maybe a button top with nicer shorts or casual skirt. DH brought some vintage Aloha shirts which looked great. A lot of guys were wearing them. I did see lots of sundresses and casual maxis. It was quite warm that time of year so no longer pants, or even sweaters. We were there right after they opened up to tourists. It was impossible to get seats in most restaurants, so we did a lot of food trucks/take out places. Our favorites in Poipu were Puka Dog, right across from the park at Poipu Beach and DaCrack. We loved the shave ice at Waikomo Shave Ice which is in the same parking lot as DaCrack. Chicken in a Barrel at the Waimea Plantation Cottages was decent bbq, and the setting was really pretty for fairly fast food. We rented snorkel equipment when we first got there and did a lot of snorkeling. One snorkel trip. The absolute best snorkeling of the trip was right off the beach in Poipu, next to the Beach House Restaurant. Amazing array of fish, and tons of sea turtles! We were renting an ocean front condo on the other side of the Beach House. People would gather on the lawns there to watch the local surfers. The little kids were so amazing. Have a wonderful trip!
