Carrier : Tax credit on a/c -help

listen to you advice: ON COILS

I picked a carrier 3 TON Performance 24APA7 17 seer for my A/C.

My question is what Carrier coil would be a A coil (ATA) that is tin plated to match to 17 seer for tax credit?

or is eligible at all?

THE BROCHURE I GOT FROM CARRIER SAYS THAT IS TAX CREDIT ELIGIBLE FOR 24APA7 CONDENSER!

I TRIED THE AHRI SITE AND NONE ( NOT ONE ) ARE eligible!

DID I LOOK IT UP WRONG ????? WHATS DEAL??

The furnace is infinity 58MVC 80,000 btu 1400 cfm

I believe you are mistaken.

be aware you will get the tax credit on either the furnace or condenser. The MVC furnace by itself qualifies for the tax credit as long as its rated at 95% eff. ask dealer.

The Performance 17 AC condenser is an excellent choice and depending on coil selection will also qualify for the tax credit. Rely on your dealer for best application. Post back model number and I will be glad to confirm the AHRI performance/eff numbers for the matched system.

Thank you. We're not building now, but we have to prepay our property taxes before year end...and of course make sure we make all our contributions....and take our capital losses to offset any gains we may have taken... This time of year, I'm always reminded of a friend whose wife was delivering their daughter on New Year's Eve....the doc asked him if he wanted the first baby of the new year or the tax deduction...he immediately opted for the tax deduction!

1. There is no AHRI listed matchup for that outdoor unit and the 4TXCC004CC3 indoor coil. Have them change it to the (correctly matched) 4TXCC005CC3 coil in your invoice. No "upgrade" there. 2. The furnace portion of the system is eligible for the 30% tax credit since it is a 95% efficient model. Usually this means the buyer claims the full $1500 since the price split between furnace and other materials isn't typically given.

The Trane, since it has the variable speed blower with Comfort-R capability, is my pick. I prefer the TCONT802/803 thermostat over the 400 series. It's touchscreen and programmable and is part of the premium range of thermostats on the market today (Honeywell VisionPRO series). Either one's performance depends on capability and competence of installers, and correct sizing, ductwork, etc.

Wow... $4,100 for a coil replacement? Are you kidding me? Yorks 3.5 ton multi-flex cased coil model # MC43B3XH1 I sell for $742.00 and the ignitor should be around $40.00 -$50.00. Is the guy quoting you this replacement system the same one who quoted you the coil replacement?

Sorry , i was not clear . I am trying to make sure that a/c qualifies what are the ratings and is coil junk or good a coil that tin plated with 13 eer 16 seer or higher

he can't get the coil for 3 for 4 weeks
changed coil again - i don't have number drop price 115 bucks
16.5 seer and 13 eer
it is tinned coil - but is a (N) coil and tax credit approved.
