Cracke lips

I've been having with the corners of my lips cracking and being sore. I heard a long time ago that there is a vitamine I need. Any one out there thats heard this? I do take a multi every day.

Drink more water. Seriously. I always get chapped lips if I don't drink enough for a couple days.

Hey guys, I'm liking that Elmers glue, and latex paint suggestion, cheap, and possibly just sitting in a can downstairs, IF, it's not a solid mass of dried up crap by now, paint, that is. I have had some projects that haven't cracked, BUT, some that have. I'd always heard that HYDRATION was key in having a finished project NOT crack, you know, to hydrate it long enough before taking it off and using it. I'm hoping that IF I can't use my old latex paint that is downstairs, IF it's all hard and non usable, AND, I hit up the local WM paint section, and buy some god ugly color that is REDUCED majorly, I'm HOPING that my Hypertufa project WON'T be showing streaks of the god ugly color through it. I want to make a hypertufa planter for succulents. I'm guessing the liming effect of the cement may make the paint color less likely to be bright or showy? I remember buying a small amount of "silica fume" years ago, and never using it, I wonder IF I can use that on this project OR would it be big waste of it, that I should use on a much more delicate project? Really, anyone who knows just what one would use "silica Fume" for, please tell me, I forget what I bought it for, and, if it goes bad quickly, I am sure it has been way too long to use it now. BTW, I have an OPENED BAG OF PORTLAND Cement, it's been open for a few years at least, can I still use it? I've seen cement sitting outside in a heap outside of a place that makes and sells concrete statues, surely sitting in my basement in a bag it's fine, right?

I've got splotchiness. Great growth but only in certain areas. Like my 2yo cut her own hair, and then my 5yo assisted her to make it look GOOD. BEST IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD! IMO - not so humble. (They all copy me) I also don't mind waking up to it;) I wanted a yard that had a neat surprise around every corner - DANG NEAR THERE!! With seed swapping, WSing and discovering the best local nurseries, I can visualize my plan!!

Tub surround design to cover cracked tub lip

We bought a scratch and dent Jacuzzi whirlpool tub, but need to cover the one crack. The tub is rectangle with no skirt, and has a lip all around. The crack and small hole are on the outside of the lip at the foot of the tub, near the corner that projects out into an open space in the room. Buying another tub is not an option at this point. The tub is squeezed into a tight corner, so we can't have the surround stick out on the cracked side more than an inch or two (less is better). This is because of the toilet's location, which had to be changed after we'd already bought the tub. We had planned to build a short wall with shelves next to the tub on that end, but there's no longer room for that design. Any creative solutions to cover the crack on that end, and make a surround that doesn't stick out much? Know where I can find pictures of surrounds in tight corners? Thanks!

what the heck? I can't believe cracking the tub is normal. normally the board comes down over the lip of the tub, why is he screwing it? I did find this one w/screws. doesn't seem to be cracked, and looks better than your guy https://www.johnbridge.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=105674 read this link this one, no flange screws. this is how we've done it There are certain screws used for hardie board in wet areas. Ask him which ones he's using. does he plan on taping? Could you pull back and give us a picture showing the entire thing for context? Edit,,,after what Joseph added, do you really want this guy tiling your shower? is he an actual tile installer or contractor? (contrators don't make the best tile installers because they aren't doing it every day. get rid of him and find a tile expert. trust me on this one) what price are they charging? how is he waterproofing? what tile are you using?

Odd to see this message posted. For the past few weeks my lips have been so chapped. No cold weather here either. Dont' know what's up. Using medicated chap stick and also tried a hydrocortisone cream, nothing is working.

I'll try drinking more water.

If this doesn't clear up, it may be yeast or thrush. Get to a doctor. I had this and it won't go away by itself. You may need medication.

B complex vitamine....cracked mouth corners is specific to lack of B vitamines.

In addition to the suggestions given above, if this is a recent occurance and you are using a forced hot air HVAC system, it may be that you do not have enough humidity in the air at your home. You may want to consider purchasing a hygrometer to measure your indoor humdity and correct any deficiencies with an appropriate humidifier.

Alternatively, you may have an essential fatty acid deficiency, most commonly Omega 3. Fish oil is generally better than flax oil in this regard.

I think that chapped or cracked lips is caused by dry weather often expereinced during the winter. Not by a vitamin definciency. If it was a vitamin problem then it would be seen during the summer months as well. You can try chapstick, vasaline, carmex any of those can and should work, but you need to keep applying it so that it is able to protect your lips from the dry cold environment otherwise it wont work if you rub it off. If this is a fungi issue such as candida aka "thrush" then you do need to see your doctor so that they can give you some perscription amphoteracin b or fluconazole. btw candida shows as white patches that can be scraped off inside the oral cavity. sometimes it can be on the corners of the mouth as well. i highly doubt this is thrush. so just stick to the carmex regimn and be sure to apply enough of it so that it stays on. best of luck
