Not sure what the discount was for "bulk", but if less than 25%, you still would save money!

And I agree, talk to a supervisor.........be sure to mention the Better Business Bureau........ :+)

Can you cancel the order if it has not yet been shipped? If not, I would refuse the order when it comes, making note of the tracking number so that you can trace it's return to Jarden. Then call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

Double zip freezer bags...no machine to buy, no expensive rolls and minimum B*** S***.
And if you are going for long term freezing, wrap first in saran and then in the bag.

Peppi, I have problems with them too, they also own the Ball and Kerr canning stuff. They changed packaging, putting lids and rings on the jars at shipping. Between the heat and the stacking, the lids are sealed right onto the jars, I have to pry them off. Then they won't seal when I try to can something.

P*sses me right off, and I've complained numerous times, to no avail.

I had a bad experience with them as well. I bought an Oster ice machine that never worked and returned it to them last May for a replacement. After months of calls, resubmitting paper work, etc., I finally got my money back last month. Seems the bigger they get, the worse the customer service! And it is hard to avoid thier products. Just look at their brands!

I would cancel the order and mention you will be contacting the attorney general in your state about their untruthful advertising practices/policies.

Escalate this within the company you would be surprised how often the executive are not aware of how call centre staff are executing policy. If they know and agree I would nail them to the wall...totally unacceptable business practice....send them a copy of this thread. Bet there are a lot of Jarden customers on this forum!

Clearly they forgot to the words "May not be combined with any other offer" but I'd have to give them the benefit of the doubt that it wasn't intended as a bait and switch. 5 rolls gave you 30% off; they just wanted to give you incentive if you were buying less.

Well I think that stinks, whether you buy 5 rolls or 3. If there is a limit to receive the sale price, they should say so.

I just went through the same thing with a BOGO airline ticket with Delta. I had to purchase the highest priced ticket in order to use the BOGO certificate. Instead I went to my usual website and bought two tickets for LESS than the one ticket required in order to use the BOGO.

My local grocery store brand is cheaper than FoodSaver bags and the mil is thicker.

It was too late to cancel the order, it arrived today, but that is the last time for me.

Fenworth, I agree, I got 30% off the bags but the coupon was what made me order through the website. Why would I resist sucha discount? I figured something wasn't working at the checkout. I have had that before, made a call and gotten my credit.

I am going to let them know I am spreading the word though. We all know the power of this place! And I may just go over to the Harvest forum too.

Cathy, what brand is it? I have used Walmart and they were fine but they are not always in stock.
