I'm so sorry to hear about Whiskey I know how sad it is to lose afurry friend. I posting this with tears in my eyes as I had to put Little Boy to sleep today after a eight month battle with mega colon, his medication stopped working and the only other option was surgery to remove his colon, I just didn't want to put him through the possible complications of this type of surgery and the quality of his life after. He was a great garden helper and maybe he will meet up with Whiskey and they can compare gardening notes. Linda

Nice collection mustangs! I have a small collection of red and white. My 4 qrt is about 3 lbs without the lid. Much lighter that my heavy enameled cast iron. I don't use it everyday. Mostly for serving. I prefer my workhorse Creuset. When i find Quistgaard Kobenstyle at thrifts or estate sales they are often beat up. They do not handle bumps and bangs and stacking very well. Nor do they have as heavy a bottom. A sensitive cook would have no problem. I even see the wooden handles with serious burn marks. (I've had non-cook house guests destroy cookware in 24hrs boiling water for tea--burned the kettle handle using high heat gas flame way over the sides). grr I think you would like it for saute and soups and braising. Low-med heat. The shape is nice and has a low profile. It is a beautiful design and you might find that it can easily go from stove to sink and back on the stove as an everyday pan. No need to put it away at all. I gave my mother the kirkland 5 qrt low-profile saute. It was actually mine that i intentionally left behind to let her test it. She is 85 now and tiny. My father reported that it is a hit. With the heavy wide bottom and two side handles she can easily transport from stove to sink and back. It lives on the stovetop and used everyday. The low sides and 'ballooned' width hold plenty and she can easily watch it being so short now. Easier to ladle broth and soups. She loves it. She could never handle the weight of an enameled cast iron. (no longer available but someone is selling them on e-bay new in box for under 50$) It is about 5lbs with the lid off. I immediately purchased another for us. It is a great pan for braising chicken thighs and holds a dozen in a single layer...and is good for a pasta sauce that accommodates the noodles for tossing and straight to the table for a quick meal...wide 11 inches at the very heavy base. If you want the red stylish Kobenstyle, you will not be disappointed using it everyday. Just remember it is not as heavy duty as your other favorites. Thanks for asking Socks .... Had the surgery one week ago today. Got out of the hospital the next afternoon. I'm now home wearing a hard collar, bone stimulator machine and trying to stay off the computer. I'm only allowed on for 20 mins at a time. I was totally bed-ridden until yesterday... sleeping most of the day and night, so that helped keep me off the computer. So far the only real pain is my throat and left shoulder. Loss of voice is typical with this surgery. Mine finally came back yesterday afternoon. I was warned my shoulders might hurt after the surgery but was never told why. I might call the doctor and ask what causes the shoulder pain. Surgery ended up not quite what I expected. Instead of removing the bottom two fused vertebrae, the doctor cleaned the bone spurs off the fused verts and removed C5 instead. He cleaned up and realigned C3 and C4 and fused C4-C5-C6 with what's called a PEEK cage. From what I can tell, my range of motion is better than before and very little pain when I move. But I'm not going to be able to fully test it for a couple months. Because my throat is still sore from them moving the esophagus and other stuff aside to access the spine from the front, it's difficult to tell if my cough and breathing issues are gone. But I think they are. Just won't know until I'm fully healed. Jodi-

I can get a better picture if necessary but I was told this main duct is fiberglass and should be replaced. This is the main duct into my AC unit in attic. The HVAC company said this is the only duct like this the rest they said are ok. I have been having breathing issues for a while and am trying to get to the bottom of it. We had the ducts cleaned and they suggested that the fan on the AC be hooked up to a Honeywell thermostat to circulate air since I have cold pockets in my house with the baseboard heat. We did that and I feel worse. My house was built in 1986. Not sure if they have ever been replaced. Been here two years and feel like crap.
