christinmk is not saying if the leaves have any marks on them, but is saying the leaves are glossey. I have to agree with hoovb, hoovb put up a link about RM and christinmk has not mentioed if any of her leaves on the rose in question show any signs of these types of marks. I have had rose mosiac on quite a few of my roses and they are always the ones I purchased at home depot or one of the mart stores, it is always a bagged rose. I never really panic when I see it, you can really spot it in the spring I usually wait for the right time to dig it up, and dispose of it in a large black plastic trash bag on trash day, since I have no place to burn it which is the proper way to dispose of it. The blooms always look good, the blooms never look bad because of the RM, just the leaves. Some will have the watermark look and then some will have the lighting bolt look. I don't live in your zone so I hate to comment on what I think it might be. I would not use your clippers on this rose without disinfecting them first before you go on to another rose bush. As far as spreading, in my opinion it is possable but I highly doubt it. I would not dig it up just yet. What has your weather been like??? Do you see any type of marks on the leaves????? The Service Core Of Retired Executives helps new or beginning small business operators to get on track with their management and business operation practices. In some areas they do a great job, others are not helpful at all. You may want to check them out in your area. In some cases they will assign your business to a retired executive who will mentor you during the beginning phase. It would be very rare to find one that knows anything about the particulars of what you are wanting to do, but you should find volunteers that will guide you through much of the legal and operational parts of doing business. Well, i guess i'm one of the younger of us gals and guys here (49), i got my license when i was 16. sometimes i wish we all would get tested. here when you go for re-newal - you get it for X number of years, one time mine was for 9 years and last year when it came up - 5 years - and $50.00. you have to check off these boxes yes or no, do you wear glasses, do you have heart problems or a diabetic, and i can't remember the other questions, sign the form, get your picture taken. but al's uncle came over 3 weeks ago and his wife said he has to go for an eye test and a drivers test, he turned 75, she said to me i hope it's not renewed. i'm probably the slowest driver in town, i obay all the lights (this city is known for running reds! and you can drive from one end of the city to the other in 20 minutes, so i don't know what the hurry is - lol). we live by a seniors center and i swear one of these days someone is going to get into a big accident, jokingly i say to al, boy they must have had alot of fun there today, look how they ran the stop sign. i was also reading somewhere (maybe woman's day, or family circle) that if you had a 70 year old and a 25 year old talking on a cell phone that their reflexes would be the same. but i will admit if i didn't have to drive i wouldn't, then again when i do drive i take all the back ways to get where i'm going also i plan my route so i don't have to make many left had turns. ps matthew got me a new bike from work, but no helmut (law in the city, plus no riding on sidewalks). debbie

There is nothing wrong with taking care of an animal that couldn't reasoably be expected to thrive if returned to his/her native environment. Knowledge and preparation are the key. I have 5 Burmese Pythons living in their own large upstairs bedroom. They all came to me as rescues. Three have been with me since 1984. They have their own heating system, plywood sheathed walls, expanded metal gratings on the outside of their windows. Cleaning their room and watering trough are onerous duties that have to be performed weekly. Feeding and electricity to keep them warm are expensive. All things considered, it is an expensive hobby that I love. They have individual personalities, much like cats. Let me add this: we have a responsibility to assure a good life to our pets if we suddenly leave the picture. I have it in my Will; my executrix and my kids all know that I have 2 different individuals lined up to come in and whisk these "special" animals away in the case of my sudden demise.
