Helene, I mis spoke...the second boat was purchased on June 12 2010. Mom passed on June 15th....he went and picked up the boat on the 18th. Whats really weird...Mom was actually slowly declining in her final weeks and she spoke often about "letting her go". My oldest brother never disclosed the contents of her living will until he called a family meeting on June 13th...Sunday night. It was then and only then did we all learn that mom requested a DNR. So "technically" he used her money to buy the boat ($55,000) then told the family about the DNR...then signed the papers on Monday and she died Tuesday. So at the time of her death, his gravy train came to a hault. See, just by putting all this down in writing its all so much clearer. Who knows how much he skimmed and for how long!! I know he did pay off his mortgage, he added an addition onto his home so his DD could have her own apt on the property (she was pregnant-the baby is now 2 1/2). He did his kitchen all granite and stainless and also did his main bathroom. The first boat was oh geez, I want to say 20 ft outboard (?) He also got himself a suv...an avalanche...you know there were other small things like laptops for everyone in the family which we all thought was odd and the vacations...Disney every year as well as 1-2 cruises. I know he already has an Alaska cruise booked for Feb/Mar. He wanted Frank and I to go with him but we didn't have the money LOL!! I think I will call moms attorney....couldn't hurt. Will they be able to s[eak to me since I am not an executor of the estate?? See I doubt my mom had any clue how much cash was involved so I doubt she would have disclosed it to her lawyers. You know I just cannot wait till this house sells and I can get on with my life!! SQ

I'm sorry for everyone's loss. Alisande; I had something similar happen to me last year after cleaning with Tilex; my airway closed. I've never had anything like that ever happen even when I used to clean for a living. The other is I have a similar memory of honeysuckle with my dad; but it used to grow behind our gas station in Watchung. Honeysuckle has always comforted me; I've worn it (perfume) since the 70's; use Honeysuckle candles & shower gel. After I lost my dad; I always had a candle burning. Ever hear of Cleomi? I had it planted at our station & it was my dads favorite flower; not sure how it ended up at my old house. I've never actually planted it at the new house either but every year since we've been here; it comes up in the weirdest spots. There's always 1 at my mailbox where I can see it from my computer; then in the one garden I have that has 2 roses I planted for my dad. What's funny; I've collected the seeds every year & walk along the woods next to my house; throwing the seeds but they never come up. The other plant that just appeared is humming bird plant; mostly purple ones; in a few choice spots; red. There have been days when the electronics in my office all went haywire at once. House & cell phone; 2 computers; printer & fax. Don't recall what started 1st but the house phone on my desk started to vibrate; I have never found a vibrate feature even on the phone. My Windows MotoQ cell started rebooting; then it seemed like one at a time the stuff in my room started cycling- printer & fax machine started spooling. I knew that it was my dad; I always associate electrical with him. Even at the old house; every time we'd say we're going to stay; something electrical would happen to "remind" us why we needed to sell. Every now & then I will smell my dad; different versions; his usual smell then the day of the viewing where the coffin opening was surrounded in roses & baby's breath In addition to the penny post; pretty sure there's one about greeting cards there; which I've had happen.

It's just a username, nothing else. I've had it since my own early days on the internet when someone suggested I use the name of a cartoon character for email and other purposes where the name would be visible to the public. I followed that advice. Snidely Whiplash was a cartoon character in my favorite cartoon "series" that was part of the Rocky and Bullwinkle Show. The other character of that continuing story, whose name I thought would be more awkward, was Dudley Do-Right. I could have also chosen Elmer Fudd, or Wile E. Coyote. I picked what I picked because I find it silly, whether you do or don't doesn't matter. Any meaning you find in a username, whether mine or anyone else's, is likely unintended.

Susan how kind of you to keep the swap going without a hitch. That is one of the things about the members on this site that I have always liked. Looking forward to your swap. Nikki-Get better, we miss you.
