I have an entirely different idea - your symptoms sound exactly like those you get if you have sleep apnea. It is something more people get when they're older, but even young children can have it. It is associated with extra weight, but unless you are heavy, there are also anatomical reasons for it (like a slightly lower palate, tonsil problems, and others), and you need to be seen by an ear, nose and throat specialist (your family doctor could set that up), plus have a sleep study (where you have a couple of small wires taped to your chest and wear a small plastic clip on your finger (painless) for one night to test for the condition. It can be very serious IF it's not treated - the headaches are due to high blood pressure (if you have apnea) and the tiredness is because you are not sleeping well at all - you actually end up holding your breath (in your sleep) for a few-many seconds at a time, many times a night, and the gasps you take each time afterward can really tire you out. Please, please show this note to your mother and ask her to look into it - it really needs to be taken care of (also painless!) if you have it. I know - I do (and lots of other people too).

Hi mumblet, I am also in perimenopause, and find life very challenging, as I also have "Fibromyalgia".....whatever that ends up really being. I had to give up milk because of G/I problems. Just be careful not to make cause and effect connections that are not true. I do this all the time, and I'm finding that I'm quite possibly making wrong connections. I think the hallmark of perimenopause is that NOTHING ever is consistent! But I think it makes us feel like we have some control, in trying to figure things out. My G/I tract is going crazy.......I have to sleep in a chair! I'm blaming this on lower estrogen, since I'm having alot more headaches, nausea, some face flushing, etc. sorry to ramble.........I'm just discovering that doctors aren't much help making sense of things. I think it's perfectly "normal" in "perimenopause" to have heavy periods, and then no periods. I'm surprised your doc said periods shouldn't start up after not having some. I have always heard that if you go for a year without periods, then start having, that you should definitely be checked out for problems. I would also make sure the rest of my body was being checked out for possible problems too, and not assuming it is all from menopause. Checking hormone levels can drive you crazy. One week my estradiol was 23, the next week it was 400. The same thing happens to my OB/GYN, so she doesn't even draw them any more. I would just stick to what makes you feel the best, and make sure your inconsistent periods aren't from some other problem (i.e. thyroid, etc.). If vinyl was so dangerous then tell me why the FDA thinks its safe to use as IV bags ? IV bags in hospitals are made of Vinyl, same thing for bags used for blood transfusions. The liners that are used in land fills are also made of vinyl. What do you think baby pacifiers are made of? Vinyl.. High end vinyl also doesnt contain lead or any dangerous metals that cause toxic off gassing. The products used to maintain wood windows are much more toxic and dangerous to your health, not to mention they are more harmful to the environment than high end vinyl. The propaganda regarding the dangers of vinyl are NOT only terribly outdated but completely false. All those studies are from the 1980's and early 90's. In fact your studies are from 1989 and 1994 and they were conducted by Green Peace ? A Green Peace study has about as much credibility as a study from the university of Helsinki. Notice all the new studies say the complete opposite? Of course guys like you would never post that. The higher end vinyl windows dont contain any plasticizers either. This is the same type of vinyl that is now used in europe.

Lindsey is correct about men and women. But there is also the thing that because of some type of bias doctors tend to discount when women present with health problems that if a man presented with the same symptoms they would immediately be sent if not to the hospital for at least testing. I take the 5 mg of Lisinopril however I have problems with BP dropping after eating. I become extremely light headed and feel like my body is oozing into my chair. I am expecting to have a change in medication when I have my yearly later this year. kadefol ask that your husband be checked for adrenal problems as craving salt is one of the symptoms. I am lucky in that my high BP is not salt reactive because when I do crave salt my doctor at that time told me it was a symptom of an adrenal problem. Once I have salty food for a couple of days the problem goes away for a couple of months.
