Thanks Jim!! Not sure about the green thumb tropical, lol...but it is a lot of work growing tropical fruit trees where it freezes, that's for sure. I'm just glad it doesn't happen too often, but then it only takes one to do severe damage :o( But the people up north growing them in pots have it a lot harder than me, so I can't complain too much. There is one lonely mango on the tree, less than the size of a green pea, but it looks like its going to drop off. But its okay, just knowing that its capable of producing fruit is a start! In keeping on staying on topic for this thread and for those not sick of looking at more gardenia pictures, took these today...the blooms are just about done for a while. We are getting way too hot...low 90's this week! Arghhhhh!!

Another update, July 13, or about 16 days after my last update... Summer did finally come, with much less rain and temperatures as high as 93F (34C), which is very warm for these parts. The outdoor plants responded quickly -- they are a healthy green now and are flowering again, plus have maybe 10 peppers each per plant. That is far less than the advertised "100 or more" peppers per plant, but it is still early and they are recovering from an ugly rainy spring/early summer, so they still have time to impress, even if I'm not holding my breath on that front. The indoor plants by comparison only have about 1 pepper per plant, so are far behind in that regard. But they have settled on a very different growth habit.... the outdoor plants are very compact and sturdy. The indoor plants don't have to deal with strong winds, thunderstorm hard rain, or the small hail that the outdoor plants experience, so are developing more spreading, weaker growth, and now have lots of flowers. Not clear at this early stage (24 days) which method of growing will win, but right now the outdoor plants are definitely ahead.

I'm wondering why you don't seem to know your neighbors five years in ? Different sort of neighborhood than where I live apparently. If you bought here, I would willingly tell you which fence was built by which property. I could also tell you where several of the official property survey markers are located and show you. Due to each property owners idea of how to set their fence when they built it, and things that are in the way.. none of my surrounding six fences are on the property lines exactly. Some are set close and some are further in. And one was built up to my ancient cherry tree, then custom built to fit up over, around and back down the trunk. LOL Guy did a nice job there. If you know who has been in the neighborhood the longest, and if she happens to be a nice order gardener, she will tell you too. This obviously does not give you the legal answers you need, but it will more importantly let you know who paid for the labor and materials and point you in a better direction as to how to approach each property owner and avoid hard feelings. And that is more important than lots of folks realize early on. You may live next to those people the next fifty years. Peace in the neighborhood is worth more than a few inches of fence inset IMHO.

we had 2 kids, b and g, then before dh could be clipped we "oops" and omg it was b/g twins, lol...needless to say the appt was made asap..doc that did dh, did have me sign, but it was mere formality...that was 1976...one reason was his wern't reversable..he took a piece of the tube out, and reverse the direction of the remaining... in retrospect, i'm glad i had these 2 wonderful kids. and in the end it was by choice...had a pal who was social worker and could have arranged to ligit abortion but MY choice, said no... i'm sorry to hear that you ladies/guys are having such difficulties still...it's just not right... and as for interferring insurance co's, i'd send them the bills for unwanted kids!
