Hi finedreams, I had the identical thing happen to me with SD and SS. They both lived with us in there late teens and early twenties while in high school and college. They would take whatever they wanted. I lost silverware, dishes, potholders, drinking glasses, hair products, towels, blankets, personal care products, toliet paper, the lists goes on and on. One time SS (17 years old at the time) announced to DH and myself "I'm going to mom's and I'm taking tolietpaper (while he held a roll of tolietpaper up for us to see) because she is low on tolietpaper." Wow, I was so in shock I didn't say a word and DH said nothing. After he left I told DH that had to stop. DH said nothing. Another time DH and myself were in our bedroom sleeping and were planning to leave on a trip early in the morning. We had our luggage packed in our bedroom. SS arrives home at 12:30 AM and sneaks into our bedroom and starts going through my luggage. I believe he must have been looking for my contact solution. DH had given him money to go purchase some a couple day prior and reminded him twice. SS choose not to get any but instead was digging through my luggage. I was shocked again. I believe alot of my kitchen items went to BM house because she went through a second divorce and her second husband took some of the kitchen items. I believe SS felt sorry for her so decided he would take my things (which were my items before marrying DH) to help mom out. He never asked DH or myself and did it sneakingly. A couple of the beautiful potholders that disappeared were handmade by my grandmother that she gave me before she died. I wish now I would of hid them. I had them in the back of the potholder cabinet and rarely used. I was so very frustrated. When they lived with us as adults I purchased twice as much personal care products. Frequently, I would go to use my shampoo, contact solution, lotion, dental floss, etc. and I would be out or it was gone. I tried talking to DH about it but he did nothing. So, what I did was take my large suitcase with a lock on it and placed items that where important to me and locked them up. It was a hassle to go unlock the suitcase if I needed something, but it stopped the disappearing items. This was a few year ago and they no longer live with us, but it still gets me upset to this day when I think about. Because of this I do not want the step kids alone in our home. Just a couple weeks ago SS was home from college and in our house alone for only one hour while DH and I went to church. Well, another expensive item disappeared. DH was looking for it the other day and couldn't find it. He called SS and yes he had it. I always thought how inconsiderate these kids were and I resent DH for not saying anything. I do not trust either one on them. I believe they think we owe them. I feel that the way they have treated me, I owe them nothing.

I don't find this either new nor worthy of thought, it's been long known. I've read that the highest incidence of problems tends to be found in small towns, smaller community hospitals, and larger understaffed public hospitals. A contributing problem is that the medical boards of many states don't allow public access to complaints, investigations, and disciplinary actions against physicians. Such information could be most useful to know which ones to avoid because of past problems. The secrecy is beginning to change in many places due to public pressure for sunshine on these records. The best thing for patients to do isn't to fool themselves into thinking they can become an amateur physician for themselves, that's folly and probably the worst approach. A much better thought is to try to be seen by the best physicians at the best institutions available in one's region and that often means becoming a patient of docs practicing at medical schools. Find great docs, learn from them the wherefores and the whys and then follow their advice. Or don't, that's everyone's choice.

Don't forget about online farmers markets! Do you have any local farmers who are doing delivery or drop-off ? I placed an order with my online market and was able to get some of the meats and produce I normally get. There used to be a drop-off refrigerator at the campus loading dock, but they had to close it. So, now I have to go to a pharmacy, and they will come out and deliver your bags for pickup while maintaining distance. Also, I emailed one of the farmers who is not on the online market but one of the general farmers market which is postponed, and he will have some things in next week. I'm looking for a pork butt/shoulder roast so DH can smoke or I can use in the crockpot so we can have BBQ and meats for tacos, etc. As long as you order an amount that is equal to the mileage, they will deliver for free. Some farmers markets are still open and have rules to maintain safe social distance. The one near the airport is on gigantic acreage owned by the state and can separate farmers over the location. So sorry, joann. So, mostly the discomfort is from the astringent (mouth puckering) sensation? Just wondering, did your dentist use any new to him material, say for the cement? Has he ask the dental lab who fabricated the crown if they have recently (around the time of the lab making your crown) switch material or technique? Perhaps your dentist would write or call and ask the tech on your behalf. I believe you said this symptom began around the time of your new crown? After? Burning mouth syndrome sounds like it’s a catch-all term of diagnostic exclusion and thus the associated symptoms can vary widely. So, one or two ENT’s said you have ”BMS — burning mouth syndrome.” But do you feel pain? A burning sensation? Any change in appearance? Can you sort of ”pin point” a location that is more sensitive or uncomfortable than other areas, or is it too overall and generalized to nail down that way? Have you considered keeping a journal or ”My Da** Sore Mouth” diary? If it came on suddenly, I would think that it might go away about as suddenly. If you feel up to it, I would welcome more detailed discriptions if other here are okay with that. Might you dub it ”Odd and disquietingly uncomfortable mouth phenomenon” rather than ”burning mouth?” No ropey or thick saliva? Ample saliva? Tongue and buccal mucosa (inside surface of mouth) stick to your teeth (you said?)? So far, nothing you’ve tried offers any relief, other than an expensive oral medication your (ENT?) prescribed, but you had to stop taking that because of the high cost? Negative for oral yeast? But, just for the heck of it, did you try any Nystatin or medication for oral yeast (and avoid sugar and simple carbs that your saliva will turn to sugar). I have had a quasi subclinical, out of sight oral yeast infection. Only an esophageal endoscopy revealed it — araes of patchy while in my upper esophagus. My throat felt like I’d swallowed a golf ball and it also burned my throat. not having any idea what was causing my sore throat, I was sucking on hard candy, sipping cold apple juice. Of course, that was only making matters worse as that sugar was feeding the thrush (yeast, Candida). I think this must be stressful for you, but I want you to feel optimistic. There is likely some answers and relief out there.
