I ordered a Quarter pounder meal at McDonald's today and when I started eating it I found a ball of long grey hair in the patty. I took it to the counter and they offered to give me another sandwich. I declined and asked for my money back. They refused and told me they don't give refunds. I went home and called their 800 number. The person at that number said he was sorry and was sending me a coupon for two free desserts. I don't want their desserts.

All I wanted was a refund because my burger was full of hairs. Am I wrong?

No you are not wrong. You make me glad I never eat at McDonalds. I would call their 800 number again and demand a refund. Tell them if you don't you will call the newspaper or your local TV station and the board of health and tell them what happened. The squeeky wheel gers the grease

I don't know much about her, but I do know one of her hybrids is pubicalyx "Red Buttons", and that one is probably my favorite out of all the other pubicalyxes. I was sent one that was blooming size, peduncles and all, a few years ago from a wonderful lady (suetran). It bloomed for me not long after getting it and I fell in love with the flowers and the fragrance (it reminds me of a Tootsie Roll Pop). Sadly, the plant died, but luckily, I took a cutting off of it to give to my best friend. His mother takes care of it, and it blooms faithfully for them. I was lucky to get a cutting back off of her not long ago (and some back in fall from another trader on here). Orange fingerprints on papers....leave a trail of student guilt. That's pretty funny, Sylvia, but frustrating, I'm sure. I've kind of lost my taste for Cheetos, but into my fifties, I was occasionally eating the orange cheez crack. The bad thing is, if you start on a bag, you can't quit. They contain the crack of snack food--powdered cheez..... I know that lots of companies in Europe pay to have roses named after their businesses or people in their businesses. How about the rose, The International Herald Tribune, or Savoy Hotel? I wish I could think of more names offhand, but there are a lot of them, some of which are copyrighted or trademarked......Isn't Alakazam a sport of Simsalibim? That was the rose that rose fans paid hundreds of $ for at auctions held by one of our rose organizations. I think the top price was around $400, but the price varied the years it was offered. Jasmine/Bonnie, K&M and Alakazam are wonderful. I love those crazy color combos, and if they are displayed well, these roses are pretty eyepopping. Diane

I've always noticed that Chic-fil-a always has polite efficient staff. Other places not so much. And I agree these places are not meant to be careers. I know there are people with families on fixed incomes, but they are the ones qualifying for free schooling. So take advantage and make a change. When I went to school (trade) I was one of 2 people that did not get any assistance. I had to take out two loans. My single mom made too much. The kids that got their school for free didn't always take it seriously and some even just stopped showing up. So I don't know. More and more people want something for nothing. And the more you give them the less they want to earn it. Ok the cost of living has gone up but pay has stayed the same. But if they start increasing everyone things will go up even more. And how is it fair for fast food workers to get the same pay or maybe even more as say an EMS worker? How do you compare making a burger to helping save someone's life?

Thanks. I think I'll let the desserts pass also. I don't think this could happen anywhere. This was a ball of long hair that was obvious when it wasn't covered by the bun. Someone had to put that patty on the bun. There were long grey hairs all through it. I'm not eating anything there again.

I had a similar experience with "checkers". DH found a long worm in his burger. They offered to replace the burger, NO THANKS!!!!! we just wanted to let them know so they could get rid of those burgers. We have never ate there again. Sorry about you problem, its such a disgrace, they should have doubled your money back a the least!

I hope the owners of McDonald's go to an exclusive restaurant and find a big hair ball in their foie gras. When they complain the waiter says he will give them another portion of foie gras if they want it, but they will have to pay for the dinner. I hope they are made to pay and when they call to complain to the owner he sends them a coupon for a free doughnut. I hope the doughnut has a big hairball in it.
