What kind of floor should i use for my home gym?

I am planning a DIY high-end home gym in my basement. The area is 15 X 17. The floor is currently concrete. I want a durable, simple-maintenance, and water-resistant floor. I have a nautilus machine, a treadmill, a stepper, a bench, and a set of weights.

I also need to sound proof it - so that the adjacent guest bedroom and office don't hear the noise of the machine or music/TV.

I was thinking of cork because it would help with sound proofing but I hear that cork is easily scratched. With bamboo, I am afraid that if one of the weights falls, the floor will be very dented. And rubber has a lifespan of 5-6 years. I don't like the look of rubber but would we willing to consider it -- if I can somehow get that "upscale" look that I am after.
