Did you ever hear of this for ear mites?
Comments (1)We use food grade Diatomaceous Earth on a regular basis in chicken feed, in their dust areas and in the kitten's ears once a week. Since it is food grade (my husband puts it in his OJ daily) we figure it won't hurt them when they lick each other's ears. Also, they use the chickens dust baths also. Just be sure it says "food grade"....See MoreI dug out my ear muffs
Comments (7)The lowest it's gotten here was 55°, so I didn't get out the sweaters. Thunderstorms rolled through the area last night. Rather pretty to watch the clouds swell and shift and turn from gray to purple black. We recieved 1/8" rain. So far this year, I've seen two honeybees, or maybe it was one honeybee twice. What is scary is that now the bumblies are in short supply. Saw one yesterday; not the usual fat 2-inchers, but the little 1-incher who isn't nearly as amusing to watch. I have a problem with the new-comer tiny bees: I can't focus on one long enough to know what it is. They flit among the flowers but by the time I see one and move my head so that the glasses in clear viewing range, it's gone on to the next flower. All I can tell is that they are about 1/4" and many (the slow ones) are sort of golden-iridescent....See MoreHelp! My irrigation system is pulsing / resonating
Comments (4)rabbit9, you might be hearing "water hammer". This occurs when the flow of water is suddenly stopped/reduced or has its direction suddenly changed. I am not sure of the following; I believe that the device reduces the flow of water rather than the pressure. Maybe it reduces both (it has been a long time since I had to visit Boyle's law). I would try and slow down (damp) the activation of the pressure regulator or reduce the input of the water by installing a gate valve ahead of the regulator. I get some serious pressure off a reclaimed water supply. To use a hose effectively, I attached a shutoff valve first and then attached the 'trigger'. I adjust flow, pressure (and recoil!) by stopping down the shutoff valve and thus I can water seedlings and also blast aphids off the hedge plants without much fuss....See MoreHearing pulse in ears all the time
Comments (3)Do you tend to get a wax build up in your ears? A few years ago I had the same thing, and I went to the doctor in case my blood pressure was high. It wasn't, and she also listened to my heart, and carotid arteries, which sounded normal. Then she checked my ears and said my right ear was pretty waxy. That's the ear I could hear my pulse in, so she irrigated it, and a lump of wax came out. That solved the problem....See Moregazania_gw
