I can relate. I will paraphrase since I told my story in the "Tell me about your SFG" post. I turned a blighted area of my yard into a beautiful raised bed area with gravel walkways. I can't wait to get dirt and plant a dozen or so veggies for my family. I'm so excited about using the ugly space for something useful that I can't stand it. Anyway, to cure my bug, I started broccoli and cauliflower in cool whip containers so I can transplant them in April. I hope you can find a way to pass the time until the ground thaws and is ready to plant. I plan on trying winter gardening next year when I have a season under my belt and dirt (always helps). Love the yard, I think you are right. I'm not having any problem getting out of a post. A recent problem is the thread title does not change color to show it has been read. I inquired to the Gardenweb staff about it and this is what they said: "Visited links are your web browser's way of being helpful, displaying a different color so as to let you know that you have clicked on that link before. Unfortunately, this isn't something GardenWeb controls. I would guess the changed colors likely disappear when you close your web browser, clearing the temporary cookie files that save your browsing info. You may be able to adjust your web settings to make sure they won't clear your cookies upon closing your browser." I'm waiting for my son to come over and reconfigure my settings. He spoils me in that I don't have to figure out how to do it.

Mike - I didn't visit any sites this morning other then my email, my bank and two forums here at gardenweb - appliances and figs. I didn't open any other links. Now I do use Firefox exclusively but I'll have to check to verify Ad Block Plus has been downloaded. I assumed I had it because I so seldom get pop ups - and this one was so odd because it happened every time I opened a new message but it only happened here at the Garden Web for about 10 minutes and then it disappeared. OK - I'm going to check for Ad Block now. Thank you again everyone.

cao100, I feel the same way..I am always on this site in my free time but then I don't seem to find much that I can contribute which hasn't already been said before. I have to say thank you to all the wonderful people who post here. You guys have such an eye for detail. I am forever going back and forth on a thread trying to 'learn' with the pros here. I had this incredibly stressful time at work a few weeks back and I would give myself a treat of 10mins of this forum every afternoon. Its such a stress buster! and its free! :-)) I guess I am worse than most of you who have the courage to post your rooms and ask for comments and criticisms. I am working on that first before I even think of having the competence to make a design suggestions. What I am trying to say is thank you for making my free time more enjoyable and a learning experience at the same time! Vinaya
