Hey ReliabilityMan! Ahhh, YES, we plan to have a special "ManCove" as you call it. My DH Man has collected so many huge "treasures" through the years only to have them in storage because we don't currently have enough space for ANY of it! The house plan we are seriously considering building this summer or next spring has a large bonus space above the garage and Master Suite area. It is 24'x36' over the 3-car garage, then another 700sqft or so over the Master Suite. Hubby wants most of this BONUS ROOM for His Space which is where he will spend his afterwork hours...but...We all will share parts of it. HIS SPACE includes... Seperate H/A Unit No carpet (spills, stains, mold, allergies, asthma) (maybe use unfinished plank floors w/ ind. sealer and RUGS) Ceiling Fans Half Bath w/ heavy-duty exhaust fan OPTIONAL: Kitchenette (Counter, Cabinets, Microwave, Ref., IceMaker, Trash Compactor to smash aluminum soda cans, DW, Sink) (He says, when we are old and disabled, we can rent this area to our live-in caretaker!) Masculine Decor/Theme Choices: (so many choices!) Warm, Sophisticated masculine colors, Leather, Wood Southern Gentleman's Quarters Wild West Saloon with Saddles for bar stool seats Upscale Casino Decor English Gentlman's Quarters Fox Hunt decor Ralph Lauren Polo Decor w/ rich plaids Sportsman's Lodge RECREATION ROOM: *Antique PoolTable 4'6"x9' (needs 19'x14' space to play comfortably) *Official-size TexasHold'em Table and 6 soft leather office chairs, *Antique Slot Machine, *Pinball Machine HOME THEATER: One end will be the SoundProof Home Theater for everyone to enjoy. I'll be happy to get the HUGE Big Screen TV out of the GreatRoom and into HIS SPACE so he can watch it as loud as he likes until all hours every night and I can have the main house PEACEFUL and QUIET! Ahhhh, yes! :-) EXERCISE ROOM: WEIGHT TRAINING, AEROBICS, DANCE There is an area just right for our large pieces of exercise equipment (NordicTrack Treadmill, AbLounge, Inversion Table, BowFlex Weight Center, and a ballet bar against a mirrored wall) with a 32" wall-mount tv w/dvd&vcr combo. I love to help friends with "decorating themes". I have SO MANY IDEAS for Masculine Decor/Theme Choices. Part of our "big plans" for the new house. He has a lot of other "treasures" he wants to put in HIS SPACE, but I think it will become too cluttered and eclectic. I want him to have a Special Space, but want it to be tasteful, too.

Another thing I forgot to mention for the back....exercises for the stomach muscles. Lie on back, lift legs up then slowly lower the legs stop and hold just before you reach the floor, figure eights with the knees bent and another simple but great one is just hold your stomach in for the count of ten and release, hold in, release. This one you can do while watching T.V., driving, standing in line at the grocery store, well, not standing with a broken foot, but you definetly can do it while sitting. It truly works. (I have a bad back too)

DH had a really bad neck spasms... he literally couldn't move his head and was in terrible pain. He was using tylenol, and icing and massage and going to chiropractors etc. and he wasn't improving. So I got on line and found these stretching exercises. He could hardly do them at all in the beginning, but gradually he improved, the pain lessened and he got his range of motion back. He does them on a regular basis now and hasn't had any problem in years. These are done sitting straight in a chair, shoulders down, moving just the head and neck. Hold each position for a full minute. Do not use your hands to pull or move your head. Go only as far as your range of motion and comfort allow. As the minute goes by though, you may find your muscles ease a bit and you may be able to move a little further. Do each once on each side: . look down to the right like you're looking under your arm pit and hold...then do the same on the left side . turn just your head to the right over your right shoulder and hold...then do the same on the left side . turn just your head to the right shoulder then raise your chin to look up and hold...then do the same on the left side You can do these multiple times a day. There are many videos on line about neck stretches, but I find these where you don't pull and you hold the position for a minute to be most helpful. Hopefully, they'll help you too.
