I have an 8 year old Boxer, Millie, that had her first seizure just over a year ago. It was long and violent and tortuous to watch lasting well over 3 minutes. I immediately took her to the vet and he started her on Phenobarbital and Valium. She had several more smaller ones until the levels were where they needed to be. In the year since she's had dozens, some worse than others, and we've added Potassium Bromide to the mix. She continues to have small focal seizures lasting a few seconds almost daily. She was hospitalized last month with Pancreatitis. While there she had one larger and one smaller seizure. Since she's come home she seems to be deteriorating. She sleeps most of the days away. She has difficulty walking, stumbles or falls when she stands still for more than a few seconds, bumps into things and has fallen down the stairs. She seems to be losing control or strength in her hind legs. Last night she fell asleep at my feet and then couldn't stand or walk for a couple of minutes when she woke. This morning, on the other hand, she came as close to running as she has in a while to go outside and potty and play for a moment. It was brief. She's eating well, looks and sounds a good as ever which makes it that much harder to wonder "How much is enough for her?" I guess that's what I'm looking for, advice on "enough". She is our absolute favorite person in the world and is loved beyond measure. As terrified as I am about her leaving us, I am more afraid that she's suffering as she is. I've never had to even consider this for a pet so I'm lost to the rationale of it. How do you know when they've had enough?

Michoumonster, the corbels are 41 1/4" tall, about 7 1/2" deep and 7" wide. I'm not losing any cabinet space because they are supporting a raised granite bar. They're taking up leg/seating space. Well worth it to me. I wanted room to seat three people at the bar and should be able to fit four. Very excited to see things coming together. Especially happy at the moment because I just found a backsplash tile that is less than a 1/3 the price of the tile I was planning on using. Plus it is IN STOCK instead of a three week lead time. Oh happy day! About 8 years ago I experienced a nightmare of a kitchen remodel. An absolute nightmare. I must have paid my dues because my contractor now has been a dream come true. Love everything about him. Great guy, great ideas, patient, totally listens to me and pleasant to have around. We're on schedule, on budget (the budget we agreed to after I busted my original budget lol) and my dog likes him. What more can I ask for. :)

Back in the day, surveyors used physical elements as references points, i.e.: 20 ft east of oak tree. When digital surveying entered the picture, it wreaked havoc on the previous physical surveys. If neighbors get along, a written document outlining how parties will address discrepancy resolved the issue. It has to be registered at courthouse for benefit of future RE transactions. If relationship is less than perfect, lawyers have a field day with this one. It usually affects not just the property line between the two specific neighbors, but the entire row of residents. It can be the biggest nightmare you never dreamed of. The PRACTICAL solutions are: 1) go with digital survey and the parties buy/sell the land in question. Document it and register. 2) split difference between physical survey and digital survey and trade (buy/sell) the land in question. In many places the physical survey trumps all but if you want to show goodwill and willingness to share in loss/gain created by technology, it's a good gesture to go this route. unfortunately, the boundary issue can be a sticky wicket in high $$ properties, like lakefront, oceanfront, etc. and neighbors not so quick to put issue to bed. Also if your house/deck/driveway is built over land in question, a little harder to negotiate but $$$ is bottom line so there is a solution. Just don't try to be kept whole at the expense of neighbor. Share in the inconvenience brought on by technology. Best of luck to you.
