Carol, They arrived today! (Thursday) Thank you sooo much! It was a really nice box, packed with plants/stuff. I received... Blue Sprinkling can candle (really cute). Daily planner book --I'm always trying to organize myself, I have notes all over, but can never find them when I need them! Hoya cutting--Carol do you know what kind it is? Its really different the leaves are so large, actually so different I wouldn't of guessed its a hoya, LOL! An African violet (my favorite). Cissus Boadrawquia, pencil like plant that's really different, almost reminds me of a celery stick. Easter Cactus. Cute fuzzy succulent. Pear cactus. Again, thanks Carol so much! I run a gift shop in our Catholic Parish. There are some lovely books that you could give. There is a Bible Stories for Catholic Children from the Hirten company that is very nice. "My First Communion Bible" by St. Benedict Press is available from Amazon. It is very nice too. It is shown in Brown, but it also comes in White. A nice rosary bracelet might be nice, but it would cost much less than $50.00.Pope Benedict has a book for children talking about his first communion. A music box that plays the Ave Maria could also be nice. These are just some thoughts. Good luck.

Have my first bib that was handmade with tatting in 1938. My slip that I wore home from the hospital, first shoes, several items from my school years. One item that is still on display, back in the early fifties glass containers with powder were popular, have one that is amber colored with shape of deer in glass on top. Received this at Christmas at a church party. I can still remember the smell of the powder that came in this container.

Nuts, all those pieces are beautiful! I especially like the combination of pearls and coral. Thanks everyone for sharing these personal faves. This is my favorite, very old fashioned, from a great aunt: its a four strand pearl bracelet with diamond spacers and an ornate Art Deco diamond clasp. It doesn’t photograph very well but all the surfaces are either brilliant or emerald cut diamonds set in white gold. I usually wear it with black velvet and with my pearls by the yard looped many times around my neck.
