Designer's Image Vinyl Flooring
Comments (1)I don't mean to be facetious, but have you tried just warm water and soap? Read the box the grout came in and see what they recommend, or ask your local hardware....See MoreDesigners Image Vinyl Lock planks at Menards
Comments (0)Has anyone installed this product in the last few months? We liked it for the embossed wood look and feel and the below grade application for our lower level. It looks great where it actually lays down as it should. Bought it and had it installed by a professional who has done our wood floors and ceramic tile entry. In less than 2 weeks I counted 30+%butt joint and edge defects in 3 rooms and a hallway. After many moons of emails and complaints to Menards and to Unika USA,the manufacturer, the material was replaced at no cost. This time we hired a floor installer recommended by Unika USA. He was in constant contact with them and took 3 days to do the job following their instructions on the phone. This installer does several acres of floating floor (Pergo, Armstrong etc etc) every year.this time the result was even worse, 40% defects after the install week, and now at 50+%.Length-wise curl, curl across the plank (cupping?), lifting off the adhesive and underlay. We just had 600 sq ft of red oak floor installed for about what this Designer Image project has cost me so far, even taking into account the free replacement material. Did we have two consecutive some bad batches? Any alternatives out there?...See MoreLuxury Vinyl Flooring for Kitchen?
Comments (1)With all the light neutral's your using, the sky is the limit for your flooring color choice. If you're keeping everything streamline and neutral, I'd say stick to it, unless you want to add some contrast with something really dark. I think it all depends on the lighting. Stick to light neutrals if there isn't an abundance of natural light, a wood-look vinyl in a light grey/beige tone may look nice. Comments (3)I'm not liking that shade of beige. If you want to stay within the color range of your existing choices I'd go light to medium greyish white with any pattern you select based on and complementary to the worktop which has to be chosen first. . . . It's difficult to go further because of the lighting or the exposure of your pictures. What I see can't be how it will appear in use. And I don't see if this floor contacts any other from another room. To add a warm color and pattern using LVP I'd look at pale woodlook products with 6-8"(200mm) width by 48"+ length. Check for how many different faces are supplied. This affects how realistic the overall floor looks when installed. Random install is also important unless you choose herringbone.
