Thank you all for your advice. I think I knew already that would be the answers. My DLs are sending up scapes and many blooms, but the blooms are not as large as last year, One that comes to mind is Siloam Double Classic. Last year it was gorgeous. This year, while there are many blooms they are smaller. We have also been without rain for a long time. We get rain in the areas around us, but we get hardly a mist. I can water because we have a good well, but I am not sure how long to let the sprinkler run at each section, and I read some place to little is worse than none at all. They say plants need an inch of rain a week, but how do you measure what an inch is when sprinkling? I was going to set a pan out in the garden and see how long it takes to get an inch of water accumulated, but wouldn't it make a difference in the size of the container, or would it show properly since the amount of water dropping in to the container would vary in time according to the size of that container? CariJo, I have never heard of cutting the chest to embalm. The only thing that I know that they cut is in the neck and leg to get to the arteries. It's just a small cut in both places. In autopsies they usually do a Y cut from each shoulder down through the stomach area. You could probably get access to the embalming papers if you wanted to OR inquire at the coroner's office to see if an autopsy was performed. Do you know where Dan's body was taken immediately after the accident? It's possible and probable that they didn't do a full autopsy, but they may have wanted to check the lungs and that area to see if there was any foreign matter in and around them to rule out any possible foul play. They can tell a lot from this. The stomach contents also tells a lot. They can tell if a body was already dead when it reached the water or if death occured in the water. It's your right to find out exactly what was done. I wish that I could help you during this horrible time for you. I'm so sorry that you are so distressed. Please try not to think of the horrors of what you saw and the things that you are imagining. Dan is perfectly whole and beautiful and happy now. His body is just the shell that held his soul. I know you love it, though. Dan loves you as much as you love him and he wouldn't want you to be so upset. I know that you will aways miss him, but try not to have bad thoughts. I know I'm a good one to talk. I'm the one who started the thread, but I do work on thinking good thoughts instead of bad. Sometimes you just have to throw them out of your head as soon as they come. Dan's soul is beautiful and it is still alive. I don't ever say that Christin and Mom "Died", because I don't believe that the essence of them died. We looked very seriously at the Miele but went with another because the 30" Miele requires a 30-3/4" wide cutout. With existing cabinets this may become a problem for you. Check carefully.
