Small Glass-Top Table

DH and I are moving to a retirement community and have to downsize. The kitchen is only big enough for a small 36" round table or a small rectangular one. I would like a white wrought iron table with a glass top and I can't find one! I have a 42" glass-topped table on my screened porch but I can't find any small ones.

I have googled patio sets, bistro sets, ice cream tables, etc. with no luck.

Would it be possible to find a base and order a top to match?

If the base you have on your porch will work with a smaller top, Pier one has them in 30" 36" and 42" I have all three and just swap them out as needed. Not terribly expensive either. If you find a wrought iron table you like other than that you can always spray paint it.

Thanks, but the base only fits a 42" top, unfortunately. Are you saying that you have 3 glass tops and interchange them with a wrought iron base? Where did you get the base?

Yes, I did google but I'm not finding what I want in this size. I forgot to mention I want a wrought iron base/legs. I've seen this in bigger table but can't seem to find the smaller ones.

The part of the table that currently is hidden by the table top is probably unfinished, or not finished as nice as the table top. If you use clear glass you will see it. Have you checked what it looks like? I have two glass tables (portica and parsons) from Room and Board and both of them have glass sitting on these little silicon circle spacers. The glass is very heavy and have never budged. My kitchen table has frosted glass which could mask some problems with an unfinished wood if it's similar in color to the rest of the table.

I looked on Wayfair and you can select the shape, and the size, but the category for Small is under 40". I like the 4 tables they can be moved when you have a party and that space needs a large table so they work nicely > IMO the layout of the space is a bit odd since the seats facing the TV do not look comfy for TV watching but maybe the TV is not important to you.

If you post this over at myfurnitureforum. com you will be able to get some good leads for makers, there is a dealer there who sells this type of product and would know which factories to contact.

I actually got the bases from Pier one two and different times. I have a Ratahan base and a black wrote Iron one. And yes I do change them out, I keep them standing behind a large piece of furniture when not in use.

I was looking for a table just like you describe a few years back and I looked all over just as you have.
I have a Lyons-Shaw 48" white wrought iron table that I bought in 1981 and I was using that as my inspiration. I remembered when I purchased the 48" that they also had a smaller one with the soda fountain style chair.
One day DH & I were at an antique store & there it was! :)
Now we see them every where,(antique stores). Don't give up.
