I don't know about Boston, but around Minneapolis/St. Paul, end-of-season is now (no jokes about how cold it is here :-) -- Boston has received more snow the last few winters than we have -- and stores are always rushing seasons anyway).

As for whether that's a good price, I will defer to others. I really haven't priced teak outdoor furniture.

Good teak is very expensive. Junky teak is expensive b/c sellers know that people will pay for the word "teak." Not all teak is created equal. Quality of wood, workmanship, and hardware vary greatly by dealer. There is a lot of inferior teak that is sold for top dollar. Unless you have inspected this set, there is no way for you to know whether this is good furniture.

Just a word of warning...folding chairs are light weight and narrow. They are not very comfortable. A cafe that I used to go to had these chairs; they were very uncomfortable. They also fly everywhere when the wind kicks up.

Also, teak has to be power-washed and stained every year to keep its rich color. Otherwise, it turns gray.
