Joan I know this birthday will be tinged with sadness for the recent loss of your brother.

OOPS!!! Sorry I didn't know that about Jan. 1 being "everybody's" birthday, if a specific date isn't given. Oh well, Happy Birthday, whenever it is. :>) Mwoods, your statement about each year bringing "joy, laughter, and some tears" is so true. None of us ever knows what's ahead for us. But, as my DH says, "It's been a trip, but I wouldn't change any of it!"

A day late for my own birthday wishes. LOL Thanks everyone. I had a special day. My Dad and Stepmother are visiting for the week. I spent the day at ArtiGras with some family and I got to have cake with Mom, Stepmom, and MIL. I am glad I am finally old enough to appreciate a day spent with my three Moms. Thanks again for the nice birthday wishes.

Thanks for the kind wishes. It is bittersweet but I guess when you loose someone so close it makes each year more precious.

My advice to everyone is to go hug the ones you love, now! Or you may just have to do what I did tonight and toast to them.
