what type of stain on dog scratches on pine floors

We put down a wide pine plank flooring in our new construction a few years ago. Got a couple of dogs, and now we have scratches that have worn away the finish and stain. We used a stain( which of course I can't remember the color, I think provincial minwax). And, we topped it off with Tung oil.

We are having a hard time matching the stain color. It seems close, then seems too 'Thin"? I'm wondering if I'd do better mixing a stain with the tung oil . I'm basically trying to fill in scattered spots of bare wood to try to blend them in vs. making it a darker shade of "distressing". (I personally think that's the way to deal with the dog problem, if you can't beat 'em. join 'em). But, my DH wants to blend them in. We probably won't sand a refinish until we move or the dogs die. What would be the point? Fair warning for dog and pine floor lovers.
