Mitchell Gold makes great sectionals. In fact, I believe they manufacture the PB version, though you can find it for less if purchased directly from a Mitchell Gold store. (Go to www.mgandbw.com to find local stores.) Hope this helps.

Sigh, I've been scouring zillions of light fixtures for the past 2 years. I thought maybe my Interior Designer (who's wonderful) could quickly narrow it down for me, but alas, when you're super-picky about light fixtures (me) I think it's a job you just have to dig through yourself. I'm 45 and I guess I feel like I've seen them all before. My fave thing is Lighting Universe....I actually keep notes of which pages I've gone through...'cause there are thousands in each category, and you can't finish a category in one sitting. I'm also copying/saving the ones that really strike me to a file, and it's helping....months later, I'm glad I have those pics, and some--I can quickly rule out now. This one from PB is unusual with its metal shades. I love the industrial look, and that's not all that common....Search "chrome" bathroom lights on lightinguniverse.com. (Lots of them come in all finishes, but the chrome search will suffice.) Quoizel has some very interesting ones (you can search by mfg also). You'll see a lot that are similar to the PB shape, but I haven't noticed any of the metal shades. Although, glass shades will put off more light....and there are some great fixtures on LU. Hudson Valley also has some really interesting shapes. Sooo much more to choose from on LU than a big-box store. After you choose one, you can Google it then, to see if you find a better price.....

beache - I suspected the slipper color would be too pale, but it is sophisticated imo. Well, since she knows what she doesn't want (half the battle), cruise through the gallery with her as oceanna suggested, then take that girl to the paint store to look at samples! It's great that you are allowing the vision in her head to become reality. In my response above, I sat here and deabated with myself whether the correct term was pointe shoes or toe shoes. Now I know!!!! LOL. My daughter was a little ballerina and injured herself just before going on pointe. That pretty much took care of ballet for her future. She is 22 now and we still love watching ballet together. :) She will always love pink, too.

Just wanted to report back that I haven't done anything yet! I decided I preferred the white, which isn't marked down as significantly, so I'm waiting now to find something that really jumps out at me. I did find a good prospect on CL, an antique oak bureau, but haven't heard back from the seller yet. I think white would look best, but second choice is a cute antique piece. I am going for a somewhat vintagey/bohemian look, I've decided. This tiny guest room has become my room most nights lately, as DH has 3 herniated disks and is sleeping on a new "special" pillow that causes him to snore like a freight train. This room is usually neglected, but now I have decided it needs a little makeover. I have chosen a paint color (BM Smoke Embers), new sheets, new light fixtures from Schoolhouse Electric (overhead fixture plus a plug-in sconce for over the bed)....hoping to start painting this afternoon. It is really a TINY room -- like 6' x 8' -- so painting shouldn't take too long. :)
