I've had Shaw laminate in my kitchen for two years now, and it's like brand new. Mine was a different line than you are referring to, but it was the 8mm and has a 25 year warranty. We used the cork underlay. I ordered mine from iFloor too!

I got a quote from another online place for an even better price that iFloor, so I don't know what I'm gonna do. Lowes is supposed to be finding out if they can get it for me, too; they sell some Shaw special order but not that particular one.

I saw an Armstrong Swiftlock Pecan Laminate at Lowes yesterday that I liked the looks of, too. It's been reduced to $2.77/sq ft. It also has a 25-year warrantly. I need to research it first, though.

just a heads up. . .i had the 25 year warranty floors of shaw put in the 2nd week of september--the installer is here again pulling these floors and putting it in again--there was a manufacturing defect. it took 3 of shaw's independent inspectors to finally admit it was a manufacturing defect--even though it was obvious from the get go! the installer says he prefers quick step and says it is "bullet proof" wish i had gone with that!

Please let me know what kind of defect you had ..just finished installing shaw 25 years warranty and we had 2 inspectors out we think it is manufacturer defect, but they see it different . The smaller sides of planks having hairline cracks. corners are coming up. We have 3 moisture barriers down.

Is there any way we can get in touch with other cases. Shaw still things after the report today it is an installation mistake. They also here don't know about any cases in IL.It seems like the right hand does not know what the left hand does.

The corners of our Shaw laminate are also coming up in numerous places all over the house. Never again!
