We got our Miele steam oven two months ago and we love it. It takes a few minutes to begin steaming but the result is far superior for reheating than the MW. And for veggies, it's really nice to not have pots on the stove. Go for it! And if you're looking for a great Speed Oven, the Miele is it. I was worried that it wouldn't broil, but that's all we use it for and we've only used it twice as a MW. It's the best broiler we've had. What a relief! We have both Miele's under the counter side-by-side. They look nice, but it would have been nicer if Miele had coordinated the clock panels so they matched. The steam oven has a backlight I can't get rid of but the Speed Oven doesn't. Other than that, we're thrilled with the Miele's and I did a LOT of research!

yikes! I'd be bummed if they burned while reheating! The crust ingredients are a standard pie crust plus 2 tsp sugar, but I haven't used this dough recipe before. There is a microwave so I could use the microwave to take the chill off and then move them to the toaster oven to re-crisp them. Can't use aluminum foil in the microwave though, so what's the best way to accommodate the transition? I wish they had a full-size oven!!! :) I don't know if anything larger than a salad plate will fit in the microwave. lol! I have an electric skillet -- would that work to reheat them?! I will be baking these empanadas, BTW.

I've re-heated a small medium rare beef roast that I'd frozen in a vacuum sealed bag using the sous-vide method. I let the roast thaw, brought a pan of water to a gentle simmer, set the vacuum bag into the water, turned the heat to low and let the roast warm up for about 30 minutes. It tasted as good as the day I'd roasted it! It was still a nice medium rare. If you could find some food safe bags I'd give that a try.

As enjoyingspring suggested, reheat them in the oven. Microwaving will make them "soggy". Cover with foil if you don't want them to get any more browned on the top or edges. Here is a link that might be useful: Ellie, here is the Spinach Square link
