Yoga with a bad knee

I really, really need to do some flexibility work and am considering yoga. But my problem is that because of my very bad knee, I cannot get down on the floor. All the research I've been able to find so far indicates that yoga is done on the ground. Are there other types or substitutes? I can bend at the waist, lift my legs, and stretch ok, just cannot put ANY weight on my knee or do anything that requires me to bend my left knee. So no lunges or anything like that.

I'm still looking into swimming options, but where I live, there are few choices. And our hot tub is too small to be very effective. I've said before if I could have a swim spa, I'd be in heaven! Wonder if I could get my insurance to pay for it?? hahah.
