oh I'm glad I checked in - my ears were ringing! LOL. Shaun, I am so happy that you found the thing that works for you. That is what this is all about. You too Sherry - WW is a program that works well for many! gardengirl - nice to know about Ambien. I've wondered about it at times. And have fun in Niagara Falls! Hi Lisa - ditto what I said to Sherry - I know a couple people who have great success with weight watchers, and it sounds like it is the program that works for you! Me? I'm doing my second round of P90X and continuing to eat mostly clean. Lots of fruit and veggies, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, lean meats, steel cut oats, whey protein...and although my workouts have lightened up a little with this round, I still am getting regular exercise including weights, pushups/pullups, yoga, cardio, kenpo karate, and lots of core work. Since the beginning of the year, I lost 7 inches off my wiast, and the scale is down 14 lbs. - even with the decreased workouts, I've maintained. I feel great and with a gorgeous weekend last weekend, I kept up with the little kids playing baseball - YEA! I've got noticeable definition in my muscles and it feels good! I gotta run - today is Legs and back and I didn't work out this AM - gotta go get it done. Stacy

jeanie_beth thank you for the great info on ivermectin. One thing though just for anyone referring to the info and the dosage. If a dose for an adult cat is 200micrograms......then, to draw that amount up, from a Ivermectin injectible solution bottle, 1% solution, for cattle/swine..........you have to have a 1cc syringe. they are the syringes that are very thin, about as half as thin as a pencil would be. On a one cc syringe......which is also a one ml syringe....they usually have both ml and cc written on the syringe........ On the syringe you will see ten larger increments with numbers written next to them: .1, .2, .3.....all the way to .10. between each of the large increments, you see the ten tiny increments between each. Since a 1% ivermectin injectible bottle has 10mg per milliliter(mL).....and the adult cat dose is only 200micro-grams.........(there are 1000 micrograms in one mg).........you will only be drawing up to the second tiny increment mark on the syringe......as seen in photo below: So, assuming you have Ivermectin Injection 1% for cattle and swine, in order for you to draw up the correct dose for an adult cat, which according to Jeanie's vet is 200 microgram,..... you will draw up .02mL on this ONE mL syringe shown in the photo. so, literally it will contain a couple of drops. Ivermectin can be very toxic and can kill a cat or dog if overdosed. and since the dose for cats and dogs is so tiny, you have to be very careful and not confuse measurement,....otherwise you can easily give them 100X the safe dose!!!!.....ALWAYS make sure you are starting with the 1% ivermectin injectible.......that will say for cattle and swine...................(NOT the one that says sheep drench, or horse paste, etc)...................... first take alcohol swab/pad and wipe off the top stopper first. Then ALWAYS draw it up with sterile new 19 gauge needle (its very thick liquid, and is basically impossible to draw it up with a 23 or 25 gauge needle) , using ONLY a 1 mL syringe (which is a one ml syringe)sterile syringe as well. Then draw up to exactly the second tiny line marked on the syringe(from the point closest to the needle hub). THAT tiny amount is 200 micrograms. .........if you want to draw up only 100 micrograms, you would only go to the first tiny increment, and if you want to draw up 300 micrograms, then you would go to the third tiny increment (from the needle hub)., etc.

(Meg, she stated the cat has had dental work done-at 13 - this means cat was probably on kibble which causes dental issues because it is unnatural for feline jaws and teeth.) Go to www.Felinefuture.com to learn more. I think you should invest in better feeding now before more serous issues happen.- a 13 year old cat is really middle-to getting older age, like 56- 65 in human years, cats should live over 20- unless they are over bred or have birth defects- heart issues/ect.. 13 -14 is "old" for house cats because 70% to 90% of pet cats eat, like people do in 3 world countries ( human rarely live to 50 in Africa for example)

Hi Kittiemom. Both my husband and I had gastric bypass surgery in Ypsilanti, Michigan in May/June 2009. My husband started at 363 lbs and got down to about 217 but he has put on about 35 lbs in the past year. I weighed 262 at the time of surgery and got down to 155. I have put on about 17 lbs from my lowest point. This is not surgery to be taken lightly. At the time of our surgery, you had to be at least 100 lbs overweight to qualify as well as having serious health issues such as Type 2 diabetes, blood pressure issues, etc. My husband had sleep apnea also and was on the machine for it. They told us that our stomachs were the size of footballs and the surgery would reduce them to the size of a golf ball. They stapled the lower portion of the stomach, then cut and cauterized it. Our surgery was laproscopic so we had 5 little holes, 1 stitch each covered by a bandage. They pretty much re-organize your innards ... its rough, believe me. We were on a very strong liquid pain medication for several days which caused my husband to hallucinate. I didn't require the same amount of medication ... I didn't have the same pain that he did. That being said, your DH will have a lot of discomfort and a lot of gas. That gas will either travel upwards or downwards and he needs to get rid of it. His tolerance for food will change ... things he liked before, he won't like after. He will be able to eat about 1/4 cup of food during a meal and it should take him at least 20 minutes to eat that much. He will have to eat 6 small meals per day and he won't be able to tolerate sugar. Even now, after 4 years, I eat small meals, for example on Mother's Day, my meal consisted of about 1/2 small baked potato, 1 thin slice of roast beef, 2 asparagus spears, 3 baby carrots, and I was too full. The doctor told us that we would have to walk, walk, walk. So between the greatly reduced meals and the additional exercise, the weight melted off. Again, it's a lifestyle change ... less food, better food, more exercise. If any person follows the rules, that person will lose the weight but the surgery makes it faster. It's not permanent though. The tiny pouch that they've left as a stomach will eventually stretch to the size of an orange and if you force food and eat foods that are high in fat and sugar, it will stretch more. The doctor told us that we could end up with a stomach about 20 feet long (your intestines) and that we could put all the weight back on along with much more. This is a life long commitment. There is a discussion board for weight loss surgery that I relied heavily on for information. I've included the link for you. Anyone can join and ask questions. This surgery has definitely added some years to my husband's life but there are dangers during and immediately after surgery and ongoing after affects. We are quite cold most of the time, we can't eat and enjoy larger or even regular sized meals, there is discomfort even now if we don't eat the recommended way. Who knows what the future will bring. If you want to know anything further, email me at smilin47 @ gmail (.) com. I will tell you anything you want to know about our experience. Here is a link that might be useful: Discussion Board
