I weigh to-morrow and I am dreading it. Birthday celebrations contineed and so much left over food and sent home with me. I'm happy not to have to cook for a couple of more days but.....

I'll be shocked if my weight isn't up. Looks like I am going to have to really buckle down next week but we'll know better to-morrow.

I'm weighing in tomorrow too Iva. Don't worry if your weight is up, we only have a birthday once a year, and this one was a big one!

Drink lots of water and exercise a little more... surely there are others who ate too much cake who'll be happy to walk it off with you!

Well, my guesses were right. I gained 2 pounds so am without wiggle room now. It was worth it. What a wonderful birthday, celebrated over so many days. Now back up to 150.
I'm going to work on it and see what I can do.

Iva, I'm glad you have such an upbeat attitude about it and so glad you had a great birthday!

I dropped my car off for an oil change yesterday and walked to the gym while it was being done. It's only 1/2 mile or so, but up a STEEP hill. Did the stairs for 15 minutes then the elliptical for 45 min. I just do it until I reach my calorie goal of 600cal. Then did a few sets on the weight machines and walked back to get my car.

I like finding little ways to sneak in extra exercise and save a little time in the process. Honestly, before I would have dropped off my car and walked next door for some french fries :)

So, my weigh in today is 139. A lot of work for 1lb loss!

It helps to "force" myself to do it. I will leave my money at home... so I can't go get a snack.

I will tell someone I am going to do it, which holds me accountable.

I will put my weights by my bed, so when I'm watching tv before bed I will do a couple reps with my little handweights. When they are staring at me from the side of the bed, it's easier to just pick them up a couple of times :)

I forgot to weigh-in on Thursday, so I'll have to try again next week. I'm sorry I did, but it usually takes me about 3 to 4 weeks at starting a different routine to get it all together in the right order, so i guess this is normal for the blitzy blond. My starting weight is still 230 and my goal is 175.

I like the words "sneak in exercise" better then "I had to" or "I forced myself to" and since this is a battle with myself, those words will help my battle mind-set. Thank you for the new weapon. On ward and up wards!

today I made BLT's for my family....

UMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Bread, thick mayo, tomato, lettuce, and bacon!

I made myself some broth with tofu and veggies, and drank a glass of water, then ate my broth.

Then I made myself a 1/2 BLT, light on the mayo, two slices of bacon. And you know what? I ate 1/2 of my bread, all the bacon and lettuce and tomato. And I was satisfied, because I wasn't hungry when I started eating the high calorie stuff.

Estimated potential calories 760:
Bacon (4) = 400
Bread (2) = 160
Mayo (2Tbs) = 200
lettuce/tom = ?

Estimated actual calories 415:
Broth: 30
Veggies: 50
Tofu: 45
Bacon (2) = 200
Bread (1/4) = 40
Mayo (1/2 TBSP) = 50
lettuce/tom: ?

And I'm full. And I feel like I ate plenty of BLT. :)

I like the Kraft Miracle Whip fat free Dressing and there is only 15 calories in 1 tablespoon.

I like the way you Start/Loss/Goal and the Start/Current Goal. Hopefully we can use the first one most of the time. I know it is wishful thinking though, especially when you get close to your goal. Holidays, birthdays, etc. don't help either, but maybe in the long run, it confuses our metabolism
