Lurker thanks you all

I have been lurking on this forum since all my clothes shrank, I have no idea how that happened. I only had two pair of pants I could still zip. The knees went out on one. I work at a feed store and was loading bales of straw in a truck when my pants caught on the tailgate and the whole bottom ripped out. I would have called my dh to bring me a change but I knew I wouldn't be able to zip any he brought so I walked backwards (not easy when you are carring 50-70 lb sacks lol) all day. I bought a scale and lo and behold I gained 14 lb. I started lurking on this forum and lost it. I learned alot from ww/ss and enjoyed the love and support you give here. Thank you, thank you

Congratulations!

14 lb gone is definitely going to make you feel better and have more energy.

For me it'd be at least one pants size.

That's inspiring!

Do you have any tips for success that have worked for you?

You inspired me, Lunchlady could be my mentor, it is just food choices. If you go off track there is another day to make other choices. I realized this should be applied to other issues in life, thanks for the reminder.

I discovered what a portion was, I guess I forgot. I left off cheese when it wasn't needed. Fruit is a good snack, so are those 100 cal pacs. Non fat yougert mixed with ranch powder is good in baked potatoes(half a potato is enough lol) and as a veggie dip.

Thank you sherryocala! Yes, my Walmart Grand Prize is actually from J&P (has the tag) - and it is grafted. And for me an easy-care, undemanding bush! I checked a few random rose sites and it seems it is fairly available - I like it so much I might try rooting a cutting next year. It took me so long too register because in some ways (like with spraying) I'm lazy! - but then I'll turn around and spend the whole day doing brutal digging - go figure. PS. I notice krista_4 is getting questions about Eglantyne, yes mine also has the 10-foot canes topped with a few flowers - I am going to put to use the suggestions I got from this forum next spring, and just let her go for now - she is pretty angry anyway, as I just moved her - she was taking over one whole side of my little garden!

Sorry for the delay... For the ventilation I used a 12 volt computer case fan I had laying around in a junk box. I went to the local hardware store and bought a length of aluminum exhaust pipe designed for a clothes dryer. Then I cut it at one end; in four places just long enough to fully push the fan into it and molded the pipe to the case of the fan. I then duct-taped the fan into place. I stretched the length of pipe out to fit the entire length of the terrarium (3 feet) and punched holes into it with a screwdriver. I made two rows of holes - one row exits air into the terrarium at about 45 degrees, the other row exits air across the top - sort of a way to provide turbulence as well as make the airflow a little more gentle. the open end was then capped with a hard rubber cap designed for PVC. it just so happens that the standard dryer exhaust pipe is the same outside diameter as the internal diamater of the cap... I then wired an old 9 volt AC adapter I had in my junk box (I keep all kinds of electrical crap - I am N2QHL for anyone that knows what that means by the way) to the fan leads. Though designed for 12 volts the fan runs very smoothly and quieter on 9 volts. I will be taking a couple more pictures soon and posting them. One of the masdevalias has two blooms on it right now...

Spicrazy, Duh! Wrong dimensions... I gave you the span of cabinets... So we here's the actual dimension is about 72 in (3in filler+33in sink base+ 24in DW + 9in tray divider + 3in filler). I think that the fillers might have been cut down from 3 in but we're in that ballpark. We have the tray divider cabinet (9in) to the left of the DW, so far opening the DW is not a problem... However, the top drawer that's to the left (in the corner in the peninsula) can only be opened 90% of the way. The edge of that drawer hits the handle of the diswasher. This is the only thing that I would recommend you taking a look at. The handle of our Kitchenaid DW is very rounded so it protrudes a few inches off the face of the DW. We were really lucky that we had the 9in tray divider to the left of the DW, otherwise we would have had to get a different DW. I think that if you put the DW directly at the corner, with just a filler next to it, you might have some clearance issue with opening the drawer. Hope this helps!

Hey Bugs, welcome! and looks like you got the kinks worked out of your pics before I checked out your thread. My favorite is the red hibiscus stepping stone, but it's all good! Where are you located? LOL!!! About your pants been there done that!!! I have worn the inside upper thigh part of my pants out:( When I had to start using a rubber band to give me some extra give on side elastic jeans for work I knew I needed help!

What is ranch powder? Where is it found? Is it in the spice aisle?

TK maybe it is found with the salad dressings, you can make your own ranch dressing they sell it in a dry form or maybe by the chips where the powdered dips are.

I am going to try the ranch dressing mix thing...and it is sold with the regular bottled dressings....that's a really good tip...I wonder what the calorie/points are for the stuff...going to try it for sure...
