I have the Zerolls ice cream scoop. Don't use it too often, but it's nice and works well.

I have a Pampered Chef one..I love the feel..and it has antifreezer stuff in it..but a couple trips through the dishwasher killed that part I think...(darn it!) but the icecream still seems to slip in and out..but not nearly as good as it did the first 10 years. :0)

Zyliss for ice cream. Restuarant supply store for muffin scoop. I seldom make cookies anymore.

I have a Pampered Chef Medium Size scooper that I use for cookies and forming meatballs.

The ice cream scoop we have is a no name brand with that little thing you squeeze and the bar slides across the bottom of the scoop and "scoops" out the ice cream. It still works ok so I havent looked to replace it.

But I do love my PC scooper!

I have the professional spring load stainless steel type of scoopers, could not find names on any of them, but recall them being pricey.

I have them ranging from 1/3 cup down to 1 teaspoon. I find many uses for them from meatballs, filling muffin/cupcake tins, pancakes, drop cookies, cream puffs, to tiny meatballs, etc.

I have a Pampered Chef Ice Cream Scooper; I love it. It has some kind of gel inside and warms up in your hands as you use it. Have to wash it by hand, dishwasher will ruin it....

I had the Pampered Chef scoop and loved it for about 14 years, then it got these nasty black marks on it that I could not get off and the metal started to pit. I use scoops with a handle trigger for muffins and cookie dough, regular size for muffins, and TBSP size for cookies. They look like the ones below and make scooping muffins or drop biscuits and portioning cookie dough for drop cookies really easy. I was surprised to see how hard it was to find these scoops now, they used to be easy to find.

My 2 favorite ice cream scoops are Tupperware and Oneida. They still work perfectly, but I never put good ice cream scoops in the dishwasher--they always get handwashed.

For portion scoops, I lucked out one day and the discount store near me had professional quality Rubbermaid ones for .99 each. I picked up all three sizes they had--

Size 60 is a good size for cookies
Size 24 is perfect for muffins and
Size 6 is about right for a healthy serving of mashed potatoes

They're really good quality and have held up beautifully for many, many years--and those DO go into the dishwasher.

I have an ice cream scoop......somewhere. (grin) It's an Oneida and very sturdy and easy to use. I just don't need to use it much.

For everything else I use a teaspoon or a tablespoon, sometimes my 1/4 cup measuring cup. I've thought about a scoop for meatballs because I make them 10 or 12 dozen at a time because I hate doing it,then I freeze them and don't do it again for months. LOL A scoop might be quicker than rolling the blasted things by hand.

I don't like making meatballs either, but in the past I spent more time trying to make them the same size (I like them uniform, that's just a me thing). I scoop them out, however, I still need to roll, which goes fairly quickly now. They cook evenly & then freeze for a later date.

Oh and I use a Pampered Chef cookie scoop too. But I need some other sizes I think, I'll order them from Costco, next time I place a Concession stand order..LOL soon very very soon.

You can order Pampered Chef on line and still get the scoops....or William Sonoma has a variety of scoops.

Annie I think using a scoop for the meatballs is so easy. You just fill the scooper up, squeeze the trigger to release the meat into your hand, give it one twirl in your palm and it's a nice ball! And they're all the same size. I also used to hate making meatballs. Now I dont mind.

You don't need to go to the trouble of ordering scoops (and paying postage)--just pop into your local bar-restaurant supply house. You'll find high quality scoops in a variety of sizes.
