Here is one I got from a book: - 1 teaspoon baking soda - 1 teaspoon oil (any oil will do, like cooking oil) - a few drops of liquid soap (I use natural dishwashing soap) - 1 litre of water This is much like what Elks proposes above, with the added benefit of oil, which makes sense as it helps to make the mix stickier so it stays on longer. A word of advice, though. I find that if I start with the water and add the other ingredients to that, this will hardly ever become a homogenous mixture. Therefore, I would try mixing the baking soda, the oil and the soap really well first and only then diluting this slowly with the water. I just sprayed two pumpkins with this (they caught it from a pair of garden center bought zucchini - so much for buying started plants!). I used a brass plant mister for this (see link below). While this may be far from being a standard garden tool, I find this works better than other implements as it really creates a fine cloud of mist that can reach where other tools can't (we all know how tough it can be to get the stuff UNDER the leaves, where it really matters). When almost full, you can even turn it up to target leaves from below and still works great. Also, because the mist is so fine, there is less waste and also less of a chance of overdoing it and burning the plant. Just saying, because I have been wondering if it just might be that those who complain that baking soda doesn't work for them are simply not applying the stuff right. I'll let you know what gives. I would figure that each person would have 2-3 drinks during the shower. I would average that to about 20 oz. A 2 liter bottle has 67 oz, so you get one 2 liter bottle for every 3 people. I would get equal numbers of regular cola, diet cola, and a lemon-lime or gingerale. I usually get just a bit too much, just in case, and that too much is usually a bottle or two of unusual stuff, orange, grape, root beer or cherry. In general, I think the older the group is, the more coffee and tea will be drunk, the younger the group, the more soda will be drunk.

I had a drain that was almost 100% clogged. I could have gotten under the sink and disconnected the drain plug from its apparatus but I choose to use baking soda and vinegar instead. I did not use salt as directed above. Because the drain plug is securely fastened to the underside of the pipes, I have a very narrow space to get the baking soda down the drain so I just dumped it and then poured vinegar on top. When the vinegar level wasn't going down I used a toothpick to poke holes in the mixture which helped it move down into the drain. I then let it sit for about 15 mins. and followed with hot water. This pipe was near 100% clogged with hair and soap residue; no unusual foreign objects were blocking the water flow. While it did take a few applications to get the drain to open up, it is draining much better now. I had to stop because I used all the vinegar I had in the house! Don't knock something unless you've tried it!

What Larsi and Jean said. I will add that I try to stay away for oxy because I used Oxy clean with a liquid det. and clothes came out stiff. I do use tide w/bleach boost pods on whites no problem. But for towels and sheets I prefer LCB for sanitizing. Oh and I had a Bosch FL at the time. Haven't tried in the Speed Queen.
