I have no experience with either color, but my guess is that Philadelphia Cream is going to look more yellow on the walls than it does in the can. What is the similar shade that your friend has? Maybe you could analyze her room and compare it with yours - direction it faces, size and number of windows, size of the room - to see how the lighting differs. I know that looking at a color on a monitor can be notoriously deceiving, but I can't understand why the color I see is called Bronzed Beige. It sure looks yellow to me. Have you tried googling it?

Well, in lots of countries or cities people really go for colors. Depends on location, style of the house, cultural traditions, you name it. I think when it's not a very open plan, and especially-if it's rooms that flow one into another(enfilade? )-people easily pick color, and it can be deep or brilliant one, or wallpaper, or..you name it. For example-how English decorate. Or take New Orleans homes. Some schemes just don't lend themselves to choosing a main neutral..they're into cozy and quirky and warm and it works perfectly well. On the other hand, other places are traditionally painted this or that because it what makes the most sense..for example, white of Mediterranean, or these slightly golden tones of Italy, that are supported by the nature outside, or gorgeous Paris apartments that are often white as well since the light there is so great..it's never as bright as in Mediterranean, but looks just a bit gloomier..with big windows, high ceilings, and often amazing details, that white looks just right. Or say St Petersburg-northern city and all, but for the half of the year-the days are really long..and it's very pleasant, soft, not blinding light. You can get away with white easily there..most people do prefer colors though, because the other half of the year..)) and also-open plans there are something really recent. Lets say I saw them in magazines..a couple maybe..never in real life. Brown won't look right on the beach..and when people in Arizona complaining it's too much brown and they can't keep up with the gray trend..well, guys, look out of your windows? lol I can't imagine Spanish style being cooler gray, or Caribbean..Never been to Florida yet-but it seems to me something dark and gloomy won't fly there as well. In Scandinavia they love white..but they also treat greens and blues as neutrals. A lot. No, not emerald or sapphire, but subtle colors of nature that surrounds them. Maybe this very open plan that became so popular drove people to concentrate on one color mostly, something that won't be too overwhelming in one large space. But again, not everybody has this plan, and not everybody strives to have it as well. What you can't do-you can't say "oh lets be everyone into Tuscan trend " or "oh lets be everyone into something that will look great on East Coast"..because artemis and others are exactly right..what if it's a log cabin? what if it's a shotgun house in New Orleans? what if it's a bungalow in Laguna Beach? What if it's an urban loft in NY? You can get inspired, that's right..we covet what we see(c). So you can take something from every trend and translate it differently, so it makes sense in your unique place. You can fall in love with something. You can't though make your place into something it's not. And you also shouldn't do something you don't like. I for example will always have colors and flowers and stuff. I won't turn into somebody who'll go for a very serene environment. As much as I admire them. You can't tell by my Pinterest what I love for example-I love it all. But in my own place-I know myself. I'm into this grayish purple since I was 15 at least..I probably was inspired by something, and it never left me since. What trends can do-they can make me bolder though, give me more exposure maybe..if they make me more timid in my choices, then they are counterproductive. And it doesn't matter what's "bold" and what's "timid"..it will be different for different people I guess. For me, doing black and white will be extremely bold..:) Even though it's a classic. For thousands it's a classic; for me, it's like a major step I will hardly ever make. For now, I have just a couple of artworks that are black and white..it already feels bold:) Sorry..that was long..:) PS as about smart technology-I'm so dumb when it comes to it, I'm kinda impressed and all, but can't see myself really implementing anything..or being interested enough in implementing anything. I'm very, very behind everybody else in that regard. Unfortunately for the mankind, I type a lot though lol.

And will have been happening every year that the pollarding has been undertaken. You see the same kind of thing (pruning into artificial shapes) rather often here. There is consistent budgeting for aggressive pruning (or shearing) of what planting happens to be present but little interest demonstrated in actual nurturing of the landscape, of gardening it as in planting it fully and caring for the plantings in a way that encourages plant health. I've thought for a long time that people like me would be excellent as study subjects about weight and people's appetite set points because naturally I simply cannot eat as much food as seems to be normal, never have. Husband is the same; even our kids make fun of us. My daughter says we eat like rabbits and she's probably not that far off. So *for me* one of those tiny hamburgers and a half a bag of small fries from McDonalds is an ample meal. I usually can only handle a few swallows of soda too though I prefer to drink water. I actually strongly dislike even the feel of having a big mouthful of food in my mouth. So weight has never been a problem or even an issue--at 61 YO I currently weigh 3 pounds more than I did when I was 18. I am small boned but at 5'6" and weighing 120 lbs I"m not emaciated or tiny. I just never have had to worry about controlling how much I eat, and have never even been able to pack away a lot of food. Why is that? I don't know, just the way my body functions. I really think if science could figure it out and bottle it a lot of people would have an incredibly easier and healthier life. However, that said I'll ad one very negative consequence has been that I've always had a false sense that there was no need for me to exercise or be active since I was always thin...why bother? WRONG--and recently it's been a battle to start and maintain an exercise and weight training regimen so I don't end up the skinniest old lady on the orthopedic rehab floor!
