If the surrounding grass is St Augustine, then you have two choices. One is baking soda. The other is atrazine. There is a video on YouTube showing how to use baking soda as a weed killer but it ONLY applies to St Augustine lawns. Baking soda is too salty for just about all other grasses. The application is special using soap and molasses as a sticker. Check out the video. Search YouTube for "baking soda St Augustine crabgrass." Yours is not crabgrass but it works for several grasses.

Jeff, I'm not totally sure how you would have so much goosegrass. It really needs disturbed or bare and wet sites to germinate. Obviuosly by now I would not treat it since some frosts will kill it. I would advise to improve those areas to help keep it out in the future. Most annual grassy weeds can be kept out with good turf density and management practices.

I can't remember where I got them from, or find the ones I have right now, but I have crochet patterns for several different outfits for mine. The sewing pattern companies (Simplicity, McCalls & Butterick) used to have them, don't know if they still do. Mostly, I find fabric I like, buy 1/2 yard, sew short sides together, hem one edge, and make an elastic casing on the other. If I remember, 9" peice of elastic worked great, 1/4" wide. I had a bonnet pattern, too. Or a large circle of fabric with elastic stitched about 2" in from edge and stuffed with fiberfill. Makes a simple "girl" goose outfit. Tami

Not sure if my pics came thru but here they are again..the bathing suit top is just a tube of fabric and styroform ball cut in half and put inside the tube of fabric and then sewn in the middle to make it look sorta like a bra.. the skirt is just a long strip of fabric hemmed and then a piece of elastic put in the top part of the strip and maybe some kind of rick rack or what ever you want to add to the hem.. huggy
