My Size Pattern

Trying to find someone with the my size pattern that might like to trade copies of it for one of my patterns.

I don't have an extensive collection but enough for a pretty good selection. I have may 30 or more and I also have lots of American girl....

Anyone want to trade........

Mignon....I have made some of my own to use...they actually have turned out quite nice ......and I have ordered a copy of Simplicity 8817 from the site given in the other thread.....I ordered it and paid using paypal as she said she would ship in three days so I am hoping that she does.

They are actually pretty easy to make patterns for...she is pretty straight up and down compared to the other barbie so I made a little sun dress pattern and have used it with three different skirts..a straight one, a flared, and a gathered one......I have a little dress bodice pattern that I plan on making up tomorrow for the first time...hope it is a good fit too.......

I uploaded three of the pictures of the dresses I made from my patterns to the gallery....if you want to see them, click on the link and open the My Size Barbie threads.....I haven't taken a picture of the one with the straight skirt yet but it turned out really nice.

I'm very fortunate, or crazy, depending on how you want to look at it. I still have almost every pattern I ever used for my daughters when they were little, and my mom just handed me patterns that she had used for them, too. (She no longer had the ones she used for me as a little girl, because of a big move we'd made when I was 12. I still have the teenaged-me patterns, though. Those are FUNNY, from the 70s!) Checking today's patterns for toddlers, they haven't changed that much -- except for the prices!!!!!! Donna

This was a simple Butterick, but I noticed on the envelope, that it has a McCall's trademark now, so I guess they must own Butterick? This particular blouse was sort of a devil to alter, as there were numerous seams and the top bodice fit to the bottom of the bodice after the side seams were sewn. So, it was a matter of picking out the seams not only in the side seams, but the top from the bottom of the bodice, and then easing out some gathers to accomodate the larger bodice. I'm gun-shy now to start the next pattern, I believe is a Simplicity, because it may or may not be sized the same! LOL I'm cool with buying larger sizes in patterns than I wear off the rack, but it would be nice to know before I purchase, and especially before I cut on the pattern, and super especially before I cut on the material!

I know it will be level. He was rolling his eyes a little about what the other guys did when they installed the tile 20 years ago. He was trying really hard to be nice about it, but it was clear he thought they cut corners. He's more of a perfectionist. When he was talking to me before I signed with him, he explained exactly what he was going to do. I'll ask him why he was reticent about the 12x18. It might just be a taste thing. Thanks for all your input. I'm in the home stretch on the kitchen decisions now!

I think she would wear a misses small.Get a multi size pattern,trace off the small size with some wax paper,pin it together and try it on her.Make or note any adjustments you need to make.I'm sure some of the other ladies have some ideas as well.When i use wax paper,i sometimes have to tape 2 pieces together to get a piece big enough,Then i use either a ball point pen that no longer writes or my tracing wheel to trace the size with.I also buy my wax paper at the .99cent store.HTH Kathi
