Woldorf Style Doll

Has anyone ever made one of these dolls. I have been thinking of making one, the head looks a bit difficult.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of them. Hope someone answers, this forum is painfully slow.

I was hoping someone would respond to this also... I also am interested in making one. I have all the supplies right now, just have to start... or should I say... attempt.

I found this site on the head wrapping/sculpting. I'm going to try this method. If anyone else has any experience or tips for us, we'd sure appreciate your input!

Hi there, I have a website, www.topostreasures.com and I sell patterns for dolls such as Tyler, Sydney, Alex, etc. those types of dolls. I haven't done any as of yet for Gene but I plan on it within the next couple of months. Marti, when I use to make clothes for Barbie,(2 GD) I bought a pattern from one of the pattern companies. It was OK, but I also bought a fashion doll, the kind you find at a dollar store, measurements about the same, then I just took fabric and made designs to fit her, didn't use the pattern much, did better by fitting, use velcro dots to close things, I cut them into quarters and sewed them on, the glue doesn't last that long with changing outfits, in my stash I kept bits of netting,feathers,odds and ends for trim, did a real fashion thing, took a box decorated it like a closet and put all the clothes in there, the girls played with it for years. Oh my gosh, my kitties are soooo jealous of your Jack! Now I'm going to have to search the thrift stores for doll beds to remake for them. I have two boys and a girl. All well under two years old. I'll have to make three or Mollee our Mainecoone (as in very large) will lay on the boys if they don't let her have it. ;^)
