Woldorf Style Doll

Has anyone ever made one of these dolls. I have been thinking of making one, the head looks a bit difficult.

Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of them. Hope someone answers, this forum is painfully slow.

I was hoping someone would respond to this also... I also am interested in making one. I have all the supplies right now, just have to start... or should I say... attempt.

I found this site on the head wrapping/sculpting. I'm going to try this method. If anyone else has any experience or tips for us, we'd sure appreciate your input!

Hi ohiojudy, I am a dollmaker-(porcelain) and especially do antique reproductions.You can probably purchase patterns from porcelain doll makers in your area.Otherwise there are a few sites-Brown House dolls is one, I recall; for more true styles-go to web-put in your search-click on images and then enter antique baby dolls-often there will be a web site connected to each picture. I have several of these kits. There should be a pattern for making the bodies out of the muslin. If not, let me know. I think I have one. You make the body, stuff it with saw dust or poly stuffing. Attach the head and limbs and make the garments--should be patterns for these as well. msmariposa37
