Not sure what you mean, but do know what a sieve screen is... As one of our filter screens in one of our filter boxes, we use a polyester screen that we bought from a floor sander rental place...it's used as a scraper on wood floors when refinishing them...we bought it about ten to twelve years ago, and it's still going strong... hope this helps. I saw this picture in a magazine awhile back and thought that if I ever redid my screen porch that I would use this method. My problem is I can't find out what they used. The porch is on a second level so it has to be strong. This one pictured was also a second level porch. Has anyone used wire instead of pickets?

bookit, I know what you are talking about and I want to do this too. I made a tree last xmas by folding the screen into a triangle , attached to a stick , filled in with ceramic morter, then painted. Worked o.k. but a little heavy. Right now, I am trying different things to fill in with and my next will be flour and water. (simple if it works)Have you found out what to use? Barb in Ar.
