Hi there! I'm not sure if you want this type of pattern, and believe me they are old, it says DOLLS of the AMERICAS. Most are full length, Miss New Orleans, Crinoline Sweetheart, Prairie Rose, Gypsy girl, Miss Rio, well, you get the drift. Miss West Indies is very pretty. One is called Party Girl, it's an 8" doll, very ruffly, short dress, like a school party dress. I'm not too sure how well they will scan, but, if you think you can use them, let me know. carroly

Hiya Jennifer! Long time no see! Your dolls sound wonderful...can't wait to have a look at them! My photo program(Photoshop) has an option to compress the jpeg image, allowing me to choose between low, medium & high. Choosing "low" will make the image MOST compressed, and keeping it a smaller file size. If you are scanning, try scanning at 50% size and use a resolution of 72 dpi. If you are using a digital camera you might have to make the resolution and the image size smaller, depending on your camera settings. I wish there was a definite set of directions, but it all depends on the software you have on hand. If you cannot get it small enough to post, you can email it to me and I will post it for you. I have a book called, "The Doll's Dressmaker." It is loaded with patterns for many sizes of dolls. It includes patterns for several types of hats and bonnets, as well as instructions for making accessories and patterns to sew about anything you want. It is THE book if you want to sew doll clothes. You won't need to buy a pattern again. Take your doll's measurements and compare them to the pattern you want to use. If the pattern doesn't fit, figure a measurement that will fit. Figure out the percentage of difference, i.e. "I need a pattern that is 25% larger/smaller." Then scan the pattern into your computer and increase or decrease the pattern size by the percent you need. Print, and you've got a pattern you can use.
