Regarding traps -- those 2 liter traps that use the one-way door thingies didn't work for me the two times I tried them. I haven't used the new disposable plastic-bag versions. A few years ago I had a bush right at my front doorway that attracted tons of wasps (not bees). It was a buzzing menace to my kids and a liability when I had any visitors--excepting those door-to-door people who weren't here to "sell" me anything. I eagerly bought the traps and several 2 liter coke bottles, envisioning myself a dad-hero triumphantly standing with my kids around an empty, yet safe, bush. Some hours later when all the carbonated belching subsided, I set out to create my masterful traps that would certainly work upon a bush brimming with stupid ole wasps too dump to know how to U-turn through a plastic yellow doorway. A few more belches and a nap later, I gave the directions and equipment to my oldest son and explained how his contribution would make him feel proud and we'd be a great team; I would supervise from my recliner. I did however carefully brew the magic concoction all-the-while holding back an evil-genius laugh. I even added the secret Chicken of the Sea ingredient. At night, I put one IN the bush and three underneath it. The bush buzzed along for another week or two, until the wasps eventually split (perhaps anticipating a slow painful death at my hands). Examination of my traps yielded a whopping 3 flies, some gnats, and a dreadful case of nostril-sensory damage as the stink seemed to be in my nose no matter how far away I was from it. The "buzzing menace" bush transformed into a "smell-come mat" at my front door. Suffice it to say, we donated that bush to the Green-Waste trash can a short while later.

Yes, I agree with the comments about the bratz dolls. They are aweful. What's wrong with a lovely little baby doll, that is cute and cuddly, I loved buying those dolls when my daugher was little ! It was like reliving my childhood. There was "big bubbie" and that was the first one. Then I remember one Christmas, I bought this huge doll that was as tall as my DD! She loved it, and it walked, well thats what it said on the box ! Its wonderful being blessed with a girl, isn't it ? Popi

Sure I will Kat! Maybe in 5 years you will even get it! I saved it incase I ever get talented enough to make it! I'm still doing cotton dishcloths, got the scarf finished. The local "store" had Light and Lofty yarn on sale 2/$5. Oh i got all excited and found a pattern that only had 3 colors and looked like it *might* not give me too much trouble and ran out there. They had about 8 different colors total and one color was completely sold out!NONE of the colors I wanted that would go with my furniture for a afgahn. So I left with nothing! I will have to look in the "big" town 45 miles away and see what they have.

Mtn, The author Kim Johnson Gross, wrote the book What to Wear for the Rest of Your Life. She did a book signing in my town and spoke about how to dress as we age. Fun topic. Her signature look was wearing white denim jeans all year round. I had a friend years ago that had lots of jackets. She said something that struck a chord with me. She said that she liked having lots of jackets and coats because usually when she would bump into people, she would be outside and she liked having a variety! For my thinner jackets, I sometimes like to coordinate my top to it.
