I don't have a pattern, but when I collected dolls you could buy them in the toy department at the stores at doll stores. If you can find an old pair, take it apart and use it as a pattern. Panties would be easy to make. I googled and found sock panties, very clever. They wouldn't have to be a certain size because they would stretch. Here is a link that might be useful: sock panties

Hi! Is that Butterick 6939 a wedding dress pattern with ruffles in the back from 1988? If so I have been DESPERATELY searching for it! Please, if you still have it, I will take ALL the patterns just to get to that one. Please let me know. Thank you SO much!!

I, too, keep a list of patterns for their sales. They happen so frequently you'd have to be nuts or desperate to pay the asking price! Same with everything in the store...if it isn't on sale, they have coupons in the paper, on line, or in their mailers. I don't understand their philosophy, but what do I know? I love the JoAnn stores in my area...three of them, plus a Hancock! All are well-stocked, clean and friendly. I wonder what makes the difference. Are you a re-enacter? I love garment sewing, don't do any crafting unless one of my kids asks, love making prom and wedding gowns for my girls. You?

My JoAnn's does carry Butterick (which I pronounce as but+trick, probably incorrect now that I think about it). If you don't need/want the pattern immediately, they usually rotate which pattern manufacturer is on sale, so each one probably goes on sale monthly. I try to wait until the sale to pay $1.99 rather than the $10-15 for each pattern. If you get real motivated, keep a list of all the patterns you are interested in (by manufacturer). When the manufacturer is on sale, you can make a quick trip to the store, pull out your list and grab the ones that you have already researched.
