I count calories but here are some things I like. Sorry I don't have the point counts.
The WW bagels are good and filling with a cup of tea.
SF jellos. Great lunch when topped with ff cottage cheese.
Frozen meals - chicken with peanut sauce.
Stouffers frozen meals have the points printed on the box. There is lots of salt in frozen meals so avoid them if you have problems with that.
Weis market (if you have them) has a low point roll - high fiber.
Smart Squeeze nonfat margarine spread. It's in a white bottle with a green top. 5 calories per TBSP

Eileen, on CORE, the Hormel Vegetarian Chili is 'free'. I bought 4 cans (on sale at A&P) for $5. I'm going to try it tonight, as I made DH some "real" Chili. LOL

I also took Gretchen's suggestion of adding frozen fruit and Splenda to FF Plain yogurt. What a wonderful (CORE) breakfast!! Great for the office....found the frozen fruit on sale at A&P this weekend.

Still unsure about which soups are OK, but I'm working on it.

I understand what you are saying sunnibel but the point was never "good enough". It was relevance to this forum. And any member is free to express comments on inappropriate use of the forums at any time. The forum focus is well defined: This forum is for the discussion of issues involved in the growing of vegetables--choosing varieties, methods of planting, maintaining plants, etc. The focus here is growing vegetables, vegetable gardening. It isn't a health forum, it isn't a healthy eating forum, it isn't a natural health food website or a medical forum. Those exist in great numbers but this isn't one of them. So since you clearly share this individuals interest in these topics, why not go discuss those issues on those forums where it is appropriate rather than here? Not only do relevant topic discussions get bumped off the forum with each of these posts but someone new to the forum looks at the front page and sees all these posts on controlling your cholesterol, diabetes, and lowering your blood pressure, etc. rather than posts about vegetable gardening. And if quality and accuracy of of the linked websites posted, as Flora mentioned, isn't relevant, then what is? Dave

Can you recommend some good foods by brand?

Finally found the Crystal Light Sunrise orange drink last week. It is good, but a little sweet for my taste, I like it made very weak. Really prefer the Raspberry Lemonade flavor. A friend said she knows someone that can get it by the case, which is cheaper. We may go in together and get a case of it. Don't get me wrong, I don't drink it like water. One little tub made up can last me several days. I used to be totally against all diet beverages and didn't like the aftertaste they left in my mouth. But I've found I can tolerate the CL made very weak and it is a nice change from plain water.

Test is done and I came through with flying colors...nothing there that shouldn't be....I even got a picture...Yuk....I woke up totally dehydrated of course so I weighed and the scale read 143...now that made me feel good....I knew it was only for a few hours but still...143....yipeeeeee ... I weighed in at 145. this morning so I am happy with that...I ate too much food yesterday but tried to be careful...I was just starving after the big ast...So I'll be good today and hope that this coming week I can hit the 144 mark... I really believe in enjoying life and accomplishing goals at the same time so I won't worry too much about Thanksgiving....It is just a happening with way too much food...I love all those foods too so I will just try to eat until satisfied and then quit...I really believe that is what it's all about...I hope you all can come to terms with the holidays and try to limit your intake but enjoy at the same time....Life is too short...

What is a good food for a new puppy ?

Hi! I recently (2 weeks ago)got a 9 week old beagle puppy. I did a lot of research into brands, ingredients, whether the brand uses lab dogs to perform unnecessary medical tests on, etc and what I found sickened me but also enlightened me. I learned that many puppy, and dog food in general use a lot of corn, which can cause allergies in dogs, and some dogs are born allergic to it. I was told by my vet to find a food which had more protein than grain and fillers. What I found and decided to feed my puppy was one of two brands, both were highly regarded by pet stores and several vets I have spoken to. One brand, the one I am currently using (switching him slowly from the brand he had been on) is Merrick's puppy food (they have their own web site and a store locator for your area on the site) which contains: Turkey, chicken meal, chicken, duck, oatmeal, barley, whole brown rice, carrots, peas, cranberries and a host of other goodies including vitamins and minerals, no fillers, and is all natural. My dog LOVES it, is thriving on it and the vet approves of it. I can't tell you what the other brand's ingredients are, but the other one which was also highly recommended was "Wellness". I can purchase them both through my local pet store but they are not available in Petco/PetSmart (that I know of) but can be purchased at some pet stores or online through their website(s). I had my late dog on Science Diet for many years but had I known about this brand, I would have switched her to it too. They also have an older dog recipe and a complete line of products, all carried on their website as well. I hope this is of some help to you. I wish I had the website addresses at hand right now so that I could give them to you. If I can be of any additional help, please feel free to email me. Good luck and have fun with your new puppy!

I cannot stree enough my favorite find for WW. 94% FF Jolly Time Kettle Corn. Sweetened with Splenda. I went without popcorn for years because I was low carbing it. I like being able to have a bag if I want! It is Core and you can eat it until you are satisfied not over stuffed! That is a tough skill to learn. One of the things our leader has us thinking about while we are eating is to put the fork down between bites.

Well I checked out the Core link and the bagels are out as are the rolls - sorry. Are you allowed any breads? Cereals? Just curious.

You can eat anything you want either Core or Non Core. You can have bread but you must count it with your Weekly Points Allowance. Core gives you 35 weekly points that you can use however you would like.

Thanks - now I know - makes sense that breads would not be allowed on the eat free plan. One good thing I noticed is that the program asks you to quit ating before you are full - makes sense. Sorry Eileen to hijack your thread.

Gretchen, the Kettle Corn is not CORE! You must count it. Sorry, but I just found out from my Food Companion. I bought a box of plain Movie 94% and the kettle Corn and must take back the Kettle Corn. :-(

DeeMarie,

Actually it is Core. That info has been updated. They were worried about the potential for abuse as we are trying to learn when we are "satisfied". There was a big debate about the popcorn but our leader said she was told it was Core and they would be updating it in future versions of the Food Companion. Don't go to the store.

Thanks, Gretchen. If I'm counting as Flex, is the bag for 2 portions? Not sure the way the box is labeled. I think each bag has 14 cups, and 1 portion is 7 cups. If you don't know, it's OK, I'll measure!

BTW, Kippy's site on Core is wonderful. I got lots of great info on there yesterday.

Yes then if you are counting points, the bag is two portions.
