Travertine porch tile

Does anyone have experience with this material? I'd like to put it on our covered porches---it is not filled or honed---but I'm afraid of dirt accumulating in the holes or having a mildew/mold nightmare. The dealer claims that travertine is naturally mold and mildew resistant and will be cool and non-slip underfoot. We are in hot and humid central Florida and the covered porches are on both the east and west sides of the house. I'm not so worried about the west side as I think the hot afternoon sun will burn off any moisture and bake to death any mildew that may be lurking. The east side will be shaded most of the day.

Also, does anyone know how to install travertine properly on a porch. Our porches are poured concrete and the dealer says it should be "mudded" and then grouted. When it is grouted will the grout fill the holes in the travertine. Any help or information will be greatly appreciated.
