corel draw help ?

This is an older corel draw cd. 3.0 I bought it right after my 1st pc about 12 yrs. ago. I think the book is still around here somewhere.

Will this work for this task

I just loaded this and do not have a clue on how to use this. Its been SO long. Please help if you can.

Tia,
Save the template in a folder and any image you want to put on it. Open Corel Draw open the template go to file/import, find the image and place it anywhere you want on the template. Grab one of the corners to adjust the size. Never grab the sides because it will not stay in proportion if you move them in or out. I hope this helps. I have Corel 4, 7, 8 and 10. I used to use this program everyday at work but haven't in a while so I'm a little rusty. If you need any more help let me know. I do know that each version changes a little so I hope I am telling you correctly. Let me know. I still dont' like version 10. I think version 8 is the best. I can't judge 9 because I never used that one.

... here's what I do in my 4.5 - mine is under the Edit section. Then you can import (found in the File section) or the hand in the section above your working section. Usually you can only work with jpegs or bitmaps. - add the graphics you want. You can only put one checkbook on each page... My dimensions are 6.20" x 6.72", but it's a good idea to measure the clear plastic checkbook you will be putting it into - it's not fun to make it all up only to find out it is the wrong size...

Can any one help me to use this softwate. When I try to sew out my designs I have a huge stitch count. One colour seems to sew out on most of the embroidery, then susequent colours build up on top of this.

Theresa - I have the CD 9 if you ever have a question about it... I believe Cara has all help we can give her. I know how hard it is to start making your own templates, but once you master you first one, there is no stopping you... It is so much easier for the newbies to ask me to just make it for them, when I tell them I would be glad to do it for a small charge,(AFTER I have offered to teach them for free...) I don't hear any more from them... I fought and drug my feet the first time I had to make my first project, but I still thank Pauline for forcing me to do it and have never looked back.

I simply love Corel Draw. I use if for everything. I use it most for my electronic scrapbooks. It's amazing the things you can do with it. Trust me...Don't get CD 10.
