Made 1st pizza; pretty good but top of crust was kinda raw ...

Hi everyone. I'm getting ready to soon make my pizza crust from scratch, but I bought the Trader Joe's pizza crust dough as recommended by many on a pizza forum until ready to make the REAL thing! It was fairly good, overall, but the top of the CRUST under the cheeses wasn't quite done and a little doughy. The bottom was fine. Wonder if someone might know what I did wrong. I very lightly greased the pizza pan with a little EVOO, layed in the crust (trimming off about 2" around perimeter so it could be spread thinner), lightly spread a little EVOO on top of crust and then applied a medium amt. of various cheeses and 6 slices of fresh tomato half-way up bet. the cheeses. I was copying the 5-cheese pizza we love at California Pizza Kitchen. It was delicious, except, as I said for the very top layer of the crust being a little "rawish" and doughy. It was baked in 450 oven for a little over 20+ min. until the bottom was a nice med. brown and the top was the same with the cheeses bubbling. Should I have par-baked the crust a little first or left out the top layer of EVOO? Any suggestions? TIA
