I grumble about rose cold-hardiness ratings, which vary all over the place depending on the author and many of which differ greatly from what I observe in my own garden. I think hardiness ratings could be improved but height description is another matter. I think the best one could do (just maybe) would be to classify each rose as small, medium or large for its class. Even then, you would find lots of exceptions. I would be inclined to say that Peace, Chicago Peace and Flaming Peace are all vigorous and relatively large bushes compared to the average Hybrid Tea and I doubt if a more precise statement would be useful.

These are amazing pictures. I love the flaming peace and Chicago peace which I grow is one of my favorites. I can't get over how healthy and full your bushes are -- maybe I should really keep up with my spray schedule and mine might look like yours. Are yours grafted or own root? I've had mine go completely bone dry before finally beginning to wilt. This wasn't intentional, I only mention it to point out that the wilting isn't from underwatering. Peace lilies love water, but their roots also love fresh air, so drainage is a must. I would also advise giving it much brighter indirect sunlight. Just because some plants can tolerate low light levels, it doesn't mean that they prefer it that way. Never seek advice from a big box employee. For most of them, it's just a job; they're paid to be there. They don't care about providing accurate advice. You're better off seeking out someone shopping there that actually wants to be there. More often than not, that's where you'll find me, HaHa. I've certainly helped other shoppers whenever they needed it.

Diane - if you love roses, you are in the right place! When deadheading, you can either just cut off the spent bud, or you can cut down to the first 5 leaflet - I do the leaflet as I think it gives the plant a more natural shape.
